I have the same set up (with an octohaul) and use a small cookie pan at the bottom of my bag to do the same thing as the disc insert to stop the disc pinching that occurs with a cart.
I have never bought a pound bag and have always used a squatch bag but after watching each of these videos going over the bag design process it has made me want to buy one more and more. I’m ready for when the new version releases.
Yes you identified the problem with a bag that hangs on a cart exactly. I had to cut inserts for my bag to support when I carted. A quality Tray is a great idea❤
Really excited for the new Octo Levi! Forgive me if you've answered this already, but any idea when the new version will be available for purchase? Thanks!
All the new updates are fantastic (especially the increased structure of the disc tray and side pocket insert), except for the Rufus-style putter pocket. I love the big rectangular putter pocket at the top of my Octothorpe. The Rufus putter pocket is the main reason I didn't get one for my girlfriend and got a Squatch Lore instead.
The putter pocket is Rufus-style, but definitely not the same. The internal construction is completely different, and has a foam bottom that keeps the discs from pinching together.
To better understand the bags, are the main compartments on the octothorpe and octohaul the same size with the defining difference being the size of the side pockets?

Glad to hear it!

🙌
Definitely want that bottom piece for my current octothorpe! Makes it more waterproof too for the discs !
👊
Love this series, excited to put the tray in my original Octo!
👊
Always love backwards compatibility
Us too!

We're hoping to release the custom builder early next month, and have stock models available in March sometime.
@levibuckingham1566 Thank you!
@@levibuckingham1566is the price expected to go up or stay where v1 is currently?
As a regular cart user for my Octo, that tray will solve a huge issue. I'm just hoping shipping just the tray to Australia isn't going to bankrupt me.

@@PoundDiscGolf Thanks for the response! Will the capacity be as much as 6-8 discs in the putter pocket?
@@nofightsnecessary no, that many discs causes the pack to be too top heavy - it will fit 5 like the current Octo.
Will you sell the disc tray insert for a Rufus too or is that too much R&D... I'd buy it!
Yes! It should be relatively easy to develop now that we've got the Octo version hammered out. Stay tuned!
These improvements are making me want a new bag…wife isn’t going to be happy 😅
🤣
Please do a giveaway for the proto bags!
We'll be giving some of them away, just stay tuned!

Yep, the main compartments are the same size, but the haul pockets are bigger with compression straps and a sleeve at the back w/a snap.
@ Thanks for clarifying!
Is the stool carry cord returning?
No, we decided to kill it because very few people used it.
