Hear me out: I do think in the show, voices are a better choice than images. Why? Well, Rand knows that Lews is dead. At least his body. He also knows he is the Dragon. So, hearing Lews' voice can make him doubt himself. Am I hearing his real voice? Or am I going crazy? Now, seeing a guy who is dead for thousands of years? Oh yeah i'm hallucinating for sure. The voices leave it open, not even just for Rand but for the audience too. That's my opinion. :P Thank you for yet another good video.
Imo Rand hearing voices shouldn't come as a teaser at the end of the season (especially if they don't have the actor), but should be more sprinkled in because I really love how incremental it is in the books. PS: Really cool visuals in this video
To be fair, he said he was doing his work remotely so it is not completely out of the question that he did remote filming that could be used with CGI/green screen.
This is terrific news. Rand does HEAR Lews's voice so fits perfectly. I wasn't expecting to see anything about Age of Legends. Amazon has tightened the budgets, so I'm happy with monies spent on the pertinent scenes. No extra CGI than absolutely necessary. Read a rumor that WOT S3 may start April. Keeping 🤞🤞🤞🤞
His voice is enough Untill Cadsune comes in its not a real issue, it's a boggy man used by Jordan to highten tension and the fear of corrupt Saidan. Until he is taught to draw the power by will its a bogeyman a false fear that is present and real. He does things that he has no way of knowing how to do it. This is the profound confusion and Rand cannot solve this problem till veins of Gold which u love as a stand alone chapter. It costs a lot of money to bring to life a vision of an internal confrontation in the mind.
Rand will be King of 4 Nations and have to deal with the real pressure of sentencing real traitors to their fate. Judges do this every day and without it he could not.
I dont see how the fact that Karim will not be physically present in season 3 affects whether or not we will see the opening of the bore. Its not like LTT pops up in any of the visions in Rhuidean
They really can't post edit some stuff? Come on that's lazy... I hope the rest of the crew can carry . Also recast the guy, it's not like anyone cares about the actor of Lews Therin. Is anyone really like "omg i need him to be lews", this isn't recasting ned stark in the middle of game of thrones lol, he is a side character.
@@konstantinkrastev4478 It's not very common to pay out an actor in advance to secure that they aren't working on another project seasons out unless they are one of the main characters. So this isn't particularly shocking to me. What type of post editing did you have in mind?
@@roadtotarvalon So many, a few simple ones would be, fog dividing them or the battle star cylon view, where they are in the same room across each other which is a very easy post edit. But here is one really smart one, rand can be in Lews' head in the past, and Lews can be in his head in the future, either controlling or watching, and having internal dialogues with each other while talking about their time. Again so much could be done, if there is a will there is a way.
@@konstantinkrastev4478 That's true but this is just for S3. We don't know what they have planned for upcoming seasons. It's possible it starts with voices and escalates to something more.
@@roadtotarvalon Hope so, I am really hoping they keep up the good work from season 2, which was a huge improvement on 1. I want the show to do well. Btw, you guys should check out Agatha all along for the podcast
i wouldn't say that visual cues are totally ruled out. maybe we get something like Logain had in season 1.
Great point ☝🏼 pinning it.
You're awesome! Thank you for your concise and well-made news videos!
@@UnravelingthePattern Aw thanks Lauren. You're a peach 🩷
Also, big shout-out to Alexander Karim. Congrats on his role in Gladiator 2 🎉

@@talesyuki 100% agree now that I'm thinking about it.
Wooooo!!! This is awesome to hear that he is doing the voices! Disappointed we wont see him more but.. hopefully in later seasons!
@@booksimmersed Very possible it starts with voices and becomes something more 👀
@@roadtotarvalon Sign me UUUUUPPP!!
I think that works with building up to seeing the Dragonmount Prologue later too..

We see white, black and gold when Rand channels. The gold is buffer between light and dark / sanity and madness given by the powers that be.

I wonder if we'll get Lews visual cues as seasons progress.

Yooo I just squealed. 😅 I don't care if we won't see him in season 3. Right now I just wanna hear the madman in Ramd's head!

Veil him in shadows, to represent madness or a weird mask or something. There is so much that can be done.
