I scored this TV for free as it had no picture. Power supply circuit board replaced thanks to your video, although still no image. I will try the main board next. I'm sure the TV works as the red led is on while TV is off and I can screen mirror to the TV from my phone and hear audio.
Thanks again for your informative videos 👍

From what I can see you put the power cord upside down at the end.
In the beginning the white electric cable is on the right and you put it back on the left

Hello, I have a really new LG OLED Tv and it's doing the exact same thing the TV in this video was doing. What made you believe it was the power supply board and not the main board. Based off your video I bought a Power board, and if that doesn't fix my TV I guess I'll replace the main board. So what made you believe it was the power board. Thank you and I hope you're right. I'm pretty handy and wasn't going to pay a technician to replace these parts when I can do it. Thanks again.

When you had the problem with no video, did the audio ever work OK? My problem is that the video would not work but the audio would work. I would have to unplug the TV for about 2 hours to fix the issue but it would recur after I turned it off. I'm trying to determine whether the issue is with the PSU or the main board. Thanks.

Great job on this video. You should watch it before attempting to change cards in your LG OLED TV.
I changed the T-con, main, and power boards on my 6 yr old LG OLED55B7A. When I powered the TV up again I got weird ghost images and light and light and dark areas when I played a 4k movie.
It turned out that the tv video was set to HDR. I don't know if my TV set is capable of HDR, so I turned HDR off. I went on line with a LN LINE and updated the tv. I then refreshed the pixels. I then got a screen msg to approve LG l to spy on me and allow them to sell to China, Korea, or anyone else any words spoken, and anything utilized on my tv or anything connected to my tv.... Of coarse I did not approve.
I would like to see a video by Paul Wayne of how to clip the connection to the speaker on a LG OLED TV. My tv works as good as new out of the box, now.

OK, I have a 65 inch that will not power on just has a red light. I think it’s the power supply but I’ve been told it might be the main board.

I got the Power Supply at
      www.shopjimmy.com/categories/tv-parts/boards/power-supply-boards.html
and in my other video I replaced the Main Board (HDMI ports board) I got that one at TV Part 4 Sale
      tvpartsforsale.com/product-category/tv-parts/main-boards/
The reason for two different places was the parts I needed were not available at one store. The power supply fixed the TV not turning on, but I also had two HDMI ports that suddenly quit working, so I replaced them both for about $125.00 (well worth saving a $1500.00 3 year old TV.)

@@RAFcoustic Also remember it may take both the power board and the main board to get the TV back to it's original working condition. Mine had two HDMI ports that just stopped working and even though it got power it would now pass that power to the screen because it thought it was in power saver mode and the TV would not come on. That's the reason I bought both boards. Turned out to be the correct choice as the TVC is now working like it is brand new. The T-con board in the middle rarely needs replaced.

He is a fake. The red light blinking means the screen is gone . Also from a well lit room in which the tv was, the working tv is shown in a dark backdrop. Hey there was a cut here. He switched the TV to an already working one. Shit. Dont soend money on the powerboard guys. You will lose money and time.

    • @billwoods9534
      @billwoods9534 9 месяцев назад

Thr red light blinking didn't mean the screen was gone on my TV. I replaced the main board and TV is working like brand new.
Even if he did switch TV's I learned how to remove the connector for the power board and the main board from his videos. To me that's the hardest part of fixing a bad board in a relatively new TV that has no other visible damage or issues.

Are you crazy? Why would a guy with a few hundred subscribers, go and buy a replacement board, and fake a video to fully replace it? ...
A faulty power board is publicized by LG as a common problem for these TVs, many people have experienced the issue. Just do a quick search and you'll find a bunch of reddit posts just for B7A PSU issues.
