You got the date for Superman wrong, that film as of right now is coming out July 11th, 2025. With F4 releasing a week or so later.

Superman means more to more people than the FF. Even his name is what people associate to the term of "SUPER" hero. Along with his movie comes the promises and expectations of a brand new DCU. There's more riding on his film. From what we know so far and is confirmed in marketing, this FF takes place in another universe, not even the 616. They could literally all be killed by Doom or Galactus by the end of the movie, and Marvel Studios could pull a fast one and say that was not the 616 FF. There's a LOT of people in the comments who wont understand what I mean by that, I'm saying the FF movie could come and go and advance nothing like so many Marvel movies before it.
Fantastic Four being delayed would give more time for the CGI to be perfected.
And likely push the marvel slate back even moooore 😐

July 11th - Superman
July 25th - Fantastic Four
This will be a SUPER-FANTASTIC week at the box office!
It sounds like Marvel has to really think about the release.

Superman is releasing on July 11th and the Fantastic Four is scheduled to drop on July 25th. So it's not coming out first, but two weeks later.
I still think moving to November would be smart because they shouldn't rush it. Gunn wrapped filming on Superman just as FF was starting to film, which sounds like more rushed Marvel VFX to me.
Hell, even SFX for Doom's theme and voice especially when Doom is alone with Valeria Richards in a room together. I want to hear every bit of dialogue in that room, loud and clearly, HD quality as clear as an **ASMR video**
November would be a better date for FF they could take advantage of the holliday family movie season from thanksgiving thru christmas
Marvel will also have already released two movies in February & May so moving F4 to November makes the most sense.

From a movie standpoint. I’ve never watched a Superman movie. But I feel many fans would rather take their chances with that as opposed to the F4 movies. I personally can’t wait for F4 first steps and will definitely be watching it opening night.
Yeah, Superman is more of a household name, then people hear it's from Gunn and think, 'Oh it's from that guy who did those Guardians movies... oh, I liked those.' Personally, I'll be seeing both on opening night.

No doubt, Superman is more popular than FF and it’s probably not that close. What “could” mitigate this is that there have been “only” three FF movies (not counting the Roger Corman one) and maybe 8-10 Superman movies counting Justice League so there might be more saturation with Superman, but the James Gunn factor is likely to make this a must-see. Might have to market RDJ-Dr Doom more for this flick as a counter-measure
It's entirely understandable, before because of one thing, Superman has been around since 1938 while the fantastic four only came along in 1963.
By history, Superman is more popular, but by modern pop culture, The F4 is going to be much more anticipated. I’m definitely a Superman fan but it’s unfortunate that character has been so badly stigmatized by constant mishandling and under usage over the years. I’m not a fan of Gunn so I’m just waiting on the fence to see what does with Superman.
From the footage & set shots we've already seen from the new Superman movie I'm 100% certain Marvel has absolutely nothing to worry about.

Based on what you’re saying, this will all boil down to Marvel fans versus DC fans. Marvel fans will definitely see fantastic four first and DC fans will definitely see Superman first, but all of us will see both of them.
Superman is way more popular, but the Snyderverse fanatics (no hate here, just stating facts) are still pissed at the studio not sticking with him. I could see them going to see the FF film on BOTH opening days, out of spite. For them, it's Snyder or Bust!
I can understand why they would move the movie even though Fantastic Four is iconic, Superman is as well.
As much as I love marvel over DC, there is no denying the fact that Superman is the more popular of the two. Superman is DC's flagship hero if you want. He is the most recognizable. That being said, I am actually more excited for fantastic four than Superman.
I have been a huge fan of Gunn since GotG. I felt it was the closest we have gotten to an OG Star Wars movie (wish he made the sequel movies). Loved each GotG, The Suicide Squad, and Peacemaker. I’m really looking forward to seeing his Superman. Can’t wait. As for FF I want to see it, but it’s just not very high up there right now. That may change with more press.
Fantastic Four has never existed very broadly in the multimedia zeitgeist of any generation, no matter how quintessentially important it is in the comic book firmament. Superman has crossed over and has been embraced in some form by every generation since its inception. There is no contest. The game is Gunn's to lose.

Idk, I feel like there are enough people dissatisfied with James Gunn Replacing Henry Cavill that they would go see the fantastic 4 over Superman, but I do find it off that DC would want to go head to head. I'm surprised they didn't pick a different date

If they came out on the same day, I personally would be spending opening night watching Superman
Superman comes out in Theaters on July 11, 2025 and The Fantastic Four First Steps comes out in Theaters on July 25, 2025. However we know that Marvel Studios kept Blade coming out in Theaters on November 7, 2025 which could actually still happen I mean next month on Saturday October 19 we have New York Comic Con and it would be perfect timing to start filming Blade next month maybe even starting on October 31 that means they have October, November, December, January & February maybe even into March, but that would leave post production to start in March then continue through April, May, June, July then during Marvel Studios San Diego Comic Con Hall H panel which takes place on July 26, 2025 we would receive more updates and the Blade Teaser Trailer on RUclips, then post production would continue through August, September & October and that means October is when the Blade Official Trailer would come out on RUclips.

I don’t want them competing, I want to be able to enjoy them both in Dolby, 3D and IMAX, and not have either of them rushed out of the higher end theaters.
I think it’s more likely that Superman gets delayed with DC’s track record regardless of it being a James Gunn film Marvels last release was Deadpool and Wolverine which is still raking in cash and regardless of the few misses, they’ve got way more hits on their hands than DC does considering that their franchise realeased five movies in the same year that all bombed and then announced a reboot for two years later it just makes more sense that people aren’t as interested in DC characters anymore when you have Doctor Strange and Black Panther outpacing heavy hitters like Batman at the theater. It’s time to question whether that franchise is even going to hold up anymore.
Pecking order of popularity has been Superman/Spider-Man, the Avengers, the Batman, then everything else needs to prove itself. I LOVE THE FANTASTIC FOUR, however because this is the 3rd iteration of this group, it is best to keep distance between this movie and the NEW DC Studios Superman movie.
Hopefully both movies do well at the box office. Honestly I'm excited for both films and I hope the writing and story for both end up being top notch.
As a huge Marvel fan, let's be real. Superman is way more popular and well known than the FF.
No fight: James DC Gunn has nothing to do against the most profitable franchise in the cinema history: The amazing MCU.
Moving movies around dramatically can also cause conflicts with like say McDonald's toy release schedule (Brave New World) and I'm sure many other means of marketing toys, clothing, games etc...take a chance of early reveals or late releases and miss out on potential marketing sales.
I have my fingers crossed for the Fantastic Four.

Making delays of these two films would be a great move like it's a bad idea to release two comic book films focusing on popular characters. Superman is like the greatest superhero of all time and the Fantastic Four is one of the popular superhero teams alongside the X-Men (The Avengers are just like secondary). Also we still have the new Jurassic World movie coming out in July as well. I suggest that Superman should stick to the same release date while Fantastic Four in November during Thanksgiving because its literally about Marvel's first family and just not to rush VFX. They literally start filming the movie once Superman is done filming that Im worried that they're just gonna rush it. We have enough of bad Fantastic Four movies so this one should not be bad.
I am very interested in seeing The Fantastic Four at the cinema. I don't rush to see a movie at the cinema at the opening weekend. Superman in costumes looks like at a pantomime so I hope it gets better.
I've actually expecting Disney to move Fantastic Four: First Steps to November to replace Blade since that film will definitely not make that date. Only issue is that moves Fantastic Four into a different quarter of the year where they lose 3rd quarter profit and will then have it pushed into a 4th quarter. I'm expecting Blade to be released in 1st quarter 2026 for February 2026.
If they do end up delaying Fantastic Four, I hope it won't be for very long... Really looking forward to this film!

It's not necessarily about who's more popular. Fans of each one have been waiting for a movie that represents the characters accurately. If Marvel markets FF well, I think the likelihood is that both movies will do well. Same goes for DC.

The difference for me regarding both films is that I’ll still be waiting for Cavil to show up as Superman. But for the F4, I’ll be praying 🙏 for this new cast to kill these roles!
I could be wrong, but my impression from the interviews I've seen it would seem that the coven will have to sing the witches road song before or after each trial they go through. They will probably sing the song once each episode, probably in a different style in line with the week's theme (wizard of oz, exorsist, etc). If that's all it is, I don't think it will be too bad as far as "musicals" go.
Fans are going to go see the movies they are most interested in, the studio presenting it doesn't matter.

Superman is the more popular character but i don’t think you can ignore the state DC is in right now. All of the latest movies have been major flops. I feel like they have the tougher battle to convince people to come back to another reboot which is not even a full reboot.

I think it’s going to be an unpredictable box office. Marvel track record has stumbled and the FF franchise hasn’t lived up to the source material yet. James Gunn is taking a lot of heat and criticism for his decisions at DC and visually preproduction. Pictures are getting a lot of criticism. The tone of his movies it’s hard to imagine him fitting that into a superman film, especially one that so loaded with cameos and supporting characters that it’s not really a superman film as much of a team up movie.
I hope both movies are on point, but my expectations are staying mid.
This is the exact reason why Marvel hired RDJ to come back. I'm betting that they'll include Doom somewhere in the F4 film (most likely post credit) which will definitely have fans talking. RDJ is looking more like a possible insurance card for marvel studios in case F4 needs to use his starpower for this movie to do well.

Superman is more popular. Marvel can always release on its original, and then re-release during the holidays. I think Superman will play itself out by late in the year.
Your information is incorrect. Superman release date is currently set for July 11. You said Aug. 11 in your video. That’s a Monday. Either way, there is no one week separation between that movie and the July 25 release date for the Fantastic Four. So this video really has few salient points.
