Yet to this day I see symbols of the regime in many places. Wars have been fought in the name of many religions, yet we see their symbols and their churches in everyday life to this day. Shall we also take the Catholic, Orthodox crosses, Muslim symbols off the top of these? It is not the symbol or the idea that pulls the trigger of the gun, but the man who believes in it.

I was an Army Spec 4 in the early 1980s, living in what was then "Gibbs Kaserne" (Gibbs Barracks). There was a very large eagle on one of the old, modified German barracks buildings. It also had the circular area containing the hakenkreuz (swastika) chiseled off. They didn't care to get rid of the entire sculpture - as it might be called into service again one day. The swastika chisels off easily, and probably can be reinstalled with equal ease.

History needs to be kept in place, and taught. Even though in todays standards it’s a very dark, and embarrassing time in German history. It’s important to teach about it, so it’s not repeated in the future. If you just try to cover it up, and erase it, future generations won’t learn from it, and learn to not repeat it. Also if you look hard enough throughout Germany, a lot of Nazism is still left. They can’t get rid of it all, there’s even flak towers still standing today. There’s bunkers still in existence, there’s lots of Nazi architectural buildings still left, the Bundeswehr HQ, is actually in the former SS HQ, which was a Nazi Architectural designed building. The Reichstag is now the German government building. So pretty much, some of it here to stay well into the future.

You can always tell if it is a Nazi eagle. Bad eagles have beaks closed and tongues not showing. This means the Nazi eagle is silent. But since 1949 the FROG has had a rule that all eagles must have open beaks and tongues must show. This means the eagle is screaming. (like usa eagles) The third Reich demanded silent eagles. Why? Well, it has to do with the Occult. I'm not going to explain it. Let's just say may the eagle never again be silent.
