This is a superb compilation and has settled a - slight difference - between my dear Lady Wife. (I was wrong, by the way... until hearing this recording she didn't actually know everything). Mother Nature's balance is restored and I might get my tea after all ! Real quality sound recording (unlike others round here!) Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful song. We have many blackbirds around us, who are screaming out their war-cries to protect their territory. We also have some who sing at night, like my video response...!
my dog goes crazy every time she hears birds chirping in the backyard...so i brought her in my room to listen to this, and it was hilarious...she stared at the computer, turned her head, and started barking...then she was looking up at the ceiling, thinking the birds were hiding up there haha.
thanks for uploading this, without it playing out the window, im not sure i'd have managed to lure my cat back in on this silent winters night! haha! the look of confusion on his face! "..but..wheres the birds?!"
Love those birds, it is sad that human are so in a denial to their surrounding that they don't appreciate the beauty of nature by trying to maintain it istead of destroying and taking it for granted but believe me one day they will regret it but it'll to late.
I didn't realise it's been 13 years since I posted this comment! I adopted and lost a sweet baby cat in all that time. Now I'm playing it for the cat I adopted 2 years ago, let's see if she reacts!

I was looking for bird songs so my cat could hear them (lame, I know), but I must say the sound quality of this vid is amazing.

thrush nitingale and skylark are my favorite, sedge warbler sounds pretty cool too. THESE BIRDS sound like synth machines.
