Always love the story of China ending the Century of Humiliation and becoming a world power. I think Kaiserreich does a great job with China, but it's cool to see it modeled in a less railroady way here. Great video!

I played it once and formed a superpower. With qing it doesn't matter how long it takes you to westernize. You have raw manpower, ressources and vast territory.

This would be a fun video… maybe after the china one has been out for a while
It's actually beneficial to side with the Heavenly Kingdom rather than the Qing. HK gets rid of the woman shortage debuff and gives access to pro military/jingoist policies early.
Also, it has South Han and North Han as accepted cultures, meaning you have less unrest and more people to draw on for guards.
did you just played the whole China as Qing ? that literally has no cores in most of China ?

Beating Japan to take Korea is easy actually and you can definitely do it after westernizing, the only thing you need is ships, a 5 ironclad/ just many torpedo boats, since as early as you westernize Japan didn't built any navy themselves, and you can definitely beat them early also but its a cheesy one, south of Korea theres a tiny island that you can cross Tsushima, there setup 60 brigades and let the japanese come to you because its an island and the japanese need to cross you'd realize its easy for the island to become a meat grinder

Thanks a lot. This is a valid strategy in GFM. This is the way to defeat UK early, you could blockade the isles and then wait in isle of man. You could claim London early this way. Their capital will then move to Belfast making this easier.

I think that sometimes that would be hard because the challenges would get out of hand... I will think about a way to moderate that, I am always looking for more ways to engage fans!

and warlord period?
I just put down all the rebellions and kept my militancy low. This prevents Qing from falling!
@@SGT oh ok. I thought the Xinhai revolution was a scripted event. It always seems to happen to AI Qing in 1911.
