CSR2 | CSR Racing 2, COLLECTIONS, Is It a Good Thing? My Take.

- Collections appeared on my main account. So I decided to play with the various aspects and share my thoughts on this new event type. There are both positives and negatives with everything the game introduces. The event is a huge resource sink hole for players. But, at the same time, you can, with planning, acquire some previously real cash purchase cars without spending cash.
I do like the feature and gives me something else to do once I've cleared the map for the day. One thing I did confirm on the Sprint races is that you can achieve the Veteran milestone and award anytime before the last race of the associated lock-in.
Definitely not going to throw resources at this. But if I have the car already built, or nearly built, it's a nice way to grab some extra rewards.
Idk about this feature. I see a lot of veterans not participating much. We have enough going on with the scheduled events. Quite redundant. Nice post Max, thanks!

I think it’s inspired by CSR1 where you collected pieces of paper with a car and when you got all the pieces, you got that car.
It’s a way to get new cars.
You don’t have to do the veteran task in the 1/2 mile. Go to a tier 3 regulation race and get the time and you complete the task 😂😂😂. Love the video Max.
I kinda like it due to the fact that I could buy the Jesko And Griffith with the tokens I acquired. I basically just done the tasks I could to get the tokens to buy the cars I really wanted. Thanks for your hot take Max👍
It will take forever to complete - but I like the new collection feature 😁🐼
As a relatively new player (around one year in), I have found collections helpful to expand my garage. I have collected 3 and soon to be 4 very useful live racers without spending any real money.
Oh - and the times to beat alteady counted on 1/4 mile which made it easier for many t5 cars 🤗
Hi Max, I contacted CSR2 support they said the live racing RP not counting towards Veterans Task is a bug and they are working to fix it. But yeah, for now temporarily if you want to complete the Veterans Task of earning RP need to do a ton of regulation races.
@asmazda Its good that live is supposed to count. It would be rather annoying to struggle through map races. Thanks for the info!
I'm sure I'm not the only one that earned my veteran E.T. task with my 4 and 5 tier cars running the 1/4 mile regulation race.
5.2.2 patched it to half mile, previously achieve xxxx time could be done on 1/4 mile
I think it's good features to buy a cars without spending real money (but some cars still need to buy it with real money for it)

Another bad point is that some of the needed cars are the prize cars for completing one of the elite tuners collections
@Michael-t3b5b Yep. You also still cannot buy those with event tickets/tokens either.
Also you get perks for completing levels - 10% reduction in refueling time; 10% reduction on delivery times.
Not sure if there are any others but those are the ones I have at level 7

I personally don't like the set up of the sprint collection, it's like you said. Building useless cars, and I'm trying hard to stack up game cash, I don't want burn through cash, building a useless car, probably only use one time, like the A 45 AMG. But I decided to just do a couple of the races, save up the tokens. To buy the jack Roush Edition Mustang, but is the A 45 AMG a good car? Is it any good to use in tempest 3? The collections Cup is a money grabber, and to me it seems they only want you to use the useless cars.
@Spencer02 A45 is ok for Tempest 3. Its issue is that the harder sprints require the car to be maxed and tuned right.
@@maxthegamerOG ah ok thanks for letting me know, basically what I was saying, is that I have great cars I soon plan on maxing out, so that's why I'm stacking up games cash, I have a lot of green cars, that are definitely worth put game cash into, but as far as Tempest 3, not quite ready, I don't have the Mazda Miata MX+5, and I don't have the LB NISSAN NSX,, but anyways I just watch your videos, to get a good idea of what I need, you are so awesome 😎👍👍👍 Thank you , your videos are really helpful to me 👍👍👍👍👍👍

I wonder if the Sprint Race returns? And if it does, then does it reset the cars that I have already locked-in? I can see that there's only 1 day left in the sprint race, but I don't have any eligible car that has cleared the veteran requirement. So I am confused if I should lock the cars in now, or should just wait for the Sprint Race to return and by then I will have the veteran requirement met.
@PrithiDeb That is a good question. I am not sure about this. I have a suspicion though that the next sprint may require a different set of cars.

Iv noticed if I have 3 of one type of car and one is super maxed it seems to not want to let me lock that one in. It wants you to have to upgrade to hit those times.
Yep. Everything is designed to push you towards going broke. Only when you are broke in game are you likely to spend real money. .
@maxthegamerOG I'm sitting here upgrading a Mini Cooper.Thinking to myself don't I already have a max to mini cooper🤣. It will let you select one of the 3 extra that you have, but not that 1.That's already upgraded

thanks a lot very helpful. I did that mistake. I did lock in my car before veteran it and later I did it but still the veteran reward still locked. Don’t lock in your car before veteran it otherwise you won’t be able to unlock the veteran reward for the car even if you did it later. I lost +200 tickets 🙁
@wessams.4953 Yeah that is likely going to happen to quit a few players. They should open the veteran reward even if you locked in at Rookie.
I'm up to rank 16 and so far and just upgrading some dusty cars to complete the tasks. no push to spend money or anything...yet.
I have completed this event, but missed 8.7 sec with the Mini. How can I do that? And complete the hot hatch part, says I am missing 100
@@heinvanderlinde7619 You want to skip shift the Mini. Go right to 4th and nitrous. Look up Zoocar or Archadir videos for maxed Mini.
secret Max shhh... you can use 1/4 Mile race to get the time for T4 and T5 cars... well I did that before this update so I am not 100% sure if you still can do that...

Can these two cars (LFA and 718 cayman GT4 RS "weisach package") reach to race 45 to(N VISSION 74) with stage 5 only or one stage 6 ?
@BarkatAli-10 I am running the event still. But one s6 may not be enough.
What about 2 stage 6 ?
And What about car (N VISSION 74) Does it worth to burn near 140 gold keys,12 to 14m cash and fusions
I can see what the hardest time challenges are and let you know. The N Vision has good numbers according to people who won it so far. But is it super good? Hard to say atm.
@BarkatAli-10 2 top s6 is still not enough as you get to race 40s. The sprints, speed traps and times all escalate.
Race 43 for Porsche took 5 s6s. Just fyi.
This collections tasks didn't appear to me. Anyone can explain?
1 it's a beta and 2 it only appears to people level 60 and higher

@@kayzeckem5760 beta is something that they are just trying out. Not everyone will get it . NM is just testing it out
I’m backing more away from the game. The glitches I have and constantly going back and forth with support gets tiring especially when you put in the efforts
So you completed and got first boost ( daily w/e boost )
Do you see any major improvements or is it just smokescreen to a rip off
@Misterars-k8l delivery time boost is there. Its less gold to accelerate as some time is already taken off.

Not really a benefit worth the outlay ( resources etc ) come on I trust you always have your my favourite CSR go to guy and I watch even if I can't do events.. etc

@Misterars-k8l The entire thing is designed as a resource drain. Because I already had my cars built. Finishing some levels was ok. Is it worth building cars just for these rewards? No. Not really worth it.

I was excited when i went through all of this, but then realised, only good thing about this is that new players can purchase few good live racer with collection credits.

Now the event has gone from my game. It doesn't pop when I start the game. I want to get LFA nurburgring and I won't be able to if collections is not active. This is fucked up.

It’s been already there for months for me. I think you need to reach a certain level/acheivement to unlock this
Its still technically in Beta. So its not available to all players yet.

really not a fan of how a chunk of the playerbase just straight up doesn’t have access to this feature, why even bother releasing it if a big portion of people can’t even use it? I just don’t understand the logic behind this at all

This is going to be the biggest fail ever. What a dumb idea by CSR 2. We obviously have nothing better to do in our lives. I think I’m going to ignore this feature
@@redline1819 i think the tasks and potential for free paid cars will suck people in. But the resource drain will be the biggest pitfall.
