I grew up in Dhaka since late 1970 s. In my early childhood the roads were less crowded and we had more spaces to move as well as play. Now I miss those days. I got pleasure seeing some old photos of Dhaka.
That time was the reign of Pakistan rule and they used to torture us, and you guys really wanna go back to past to get tortured and if it's not Pakistan rule, then we were suffering from poverty at that time...
Back in the 1950s and 1960s Dhaka had only few hundred thousand people. In 2019, between 9 to 10 million or one crore. Tremendously has changed this city!

It's mesmerizing that how lively this city has become. It was empty, lifeless in the 60s and 70s Gradually Dhaka became full of lives. Sure it feels crowded sometimes but you've to agree Dhaka is even greener then before. Just look at the roadsides, it's all trees now where once it was empty

I think the only problem we have right now is the people, if they were as smart and matture as they were before, Bangladesh would be such a effecent and devoloped country, almost as if its a foreign country people would visit.
