- This is an all-steel 1955 Fairlane on top. But underneath it's a modern race car with NASCAR style brakes / steering / suspension and a Roush Yates D-3 motor producing over 800hp at 8200rpm. Don't go thinking this is just some stationary showpiece; this is a real road racer that will run with GT1 cars! This car will be offered for sale later this month (November 2020).
UPDATE- This one-of-a-kind car was sold in late 2020 but we decided to leave the video up. We had a great time with this one and still have people asking about it. The racing footage was from the VSCDA Fall Festival at Road America where it ran a 2:22 with Evan Pecore at the wheel running about 9/10. Hope we can get it there again some time...
Why would anyone ever want to sell this! And why would anyone not ever want to own it!..... coolest thing I've seen for while😎
I agree...that car is coooolll.
Somebody should take this beast to Goodwood in England. That track already has a series that allows big American V8s...pair of 60s Galaxies, a couple of Studebakers, Mustangs and Mustangs, plus a variety of smaller but fast European sedans.
Its a reskinned nascar it would destroy everything in sight
Yeah it’s just a nascar chassis and engine with a fair lane body
One of my first cars was a 1956 Ford ex California Border Patrol car. 312 V8 with overdrive. One of my favorites
By Far, The Coolest Race Car I Have Ever Heard of.
When someone puts all of that time and money into building something like this, ( I know, we have owned professionally prepared race cars), and when there are lighter, and more nimble cars out there for purchase or development, that are better platforms to start with, or were developed with racing in mind from the onset, a build like this is more a thing of Passion. I doubt that Ford had Tier 1, GT racing in the 21st century in mind when this car was born!
So freaking cool!
We need cars like this in Australia.
Kind of cool to see one done up like a NASCAR
Things you can do with a truck arm car - have a winston west chassis / 18 degree car - this is pretty cool, bet those 911's were frustrated to be passed by this.....
I've seen this in other videos this car is pure awesome. Take a 9-seater passenger passenger car made for one With enough room in the trunk for 10 body's. Wow the neighboring system back then huh. That way you know how many to sneak into the drive-in.
This car is so awesome ❤️
Imagine 43 of these cars racing around daytona
That’s would be a sight to see
@@tuftyterror983That would be worth watching. 55 Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Plymouth, Olds, Buick. What a series. Nascar doesn't want the cars going real fast anymore. This body style, set up like this, maybe going 140 at the most, it would bring some excitement back.
@@davidkeeton6716 Agreed. It would be the best stock car racing currently if it happened, like a throwback to the old era with modern safety.
I have 55/56 mainlines and this 55 is awesome
I didn’t want the video to stop.
Looks like a ‘55 Fairlane but its real nice well done replica of one
That Ford would make one hellva tanker for corn whiskey wish I had it. When I was running
I just knew it would sound awesome
FORDS RULE
I think it's incredible👍🤯🤩👍👍😎and seriously cool 😎. Thanks for building, showing and running. 👍🤩 With best wishes from jolly old England 👍😎Pete 🤓
Thank you so much
A Totally Awesome Build
That is an AWESOME!!!! car. it said powered by Ford but that didn't look like a Ford engine. there's nothing like vintage Ford race cars and this one is a beautiful example. (fun fact) Dale Earnhardt Sr Raced a pink 1956 Ford when he first started out. but he didn't race it for very long. if you research him you will find out it's the truth. as a huge Ford fan I really love this car.
That is a Roush-Yates Ford racing engine. It doesn't look like a street engine and can rev a LOT higher.
@@diversionmotors8123 It looks more like an LS engine.but I'm not saying its not a Ford engine.
@@diversionmotors8123wat do you wat foor it
Don't forget the Johnsonville bratz
Vintage NASCAR
...into turn 5 at Elkhart...excellent!!!
Amazing!
Pretty awesome Car. 😎🇺🇸
Nice video, cool body.
cool!
Rather watch that than a NASCAR NEXGEN car!
Magic and magnifique 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
How much did it sell for???
So a sprint cup car with no restrictions and a fairlane body? Rad.
Looks better than any nascar
Nice barge.
Bad ass
Fail for not having better footage of car in action.
Extrem sparsam
Is 100 % iron no fiber glass?
ALL STEEL!
@@diversionmotors8123 I love it amazin job congratulations
Dang thats crazy. Like crazy crazy.
How much
Anyone me know how much they're asking???
The car has found a new home and is no longer for sale. We had one hell of a time with it though!
🐻🇱🇷♥️
Weapon.
Waste of a very classic car!!
Only a waste if you're not a racer. Or have a cool bone in your body. That there is the essence of hot rodding. Don't like to see 55 Fords hot rodded ? Suks to be you I guess.
If you think a set of goodyears and boomtubes is a waste then boy have i got some news for you lol.
I actually seen & heard the car run at Road America. Nothing wasted here Michael. I thought it was an impressive site running & keeping up with the GT1 Cars. This is what road racing is all about with a nostalgia flare.
Very Cool should be a special class for these beasts
super cool
My stepfather raced a 55 Ford back in the early 60s on a 1/4 mile dirt track till he rolled his car & almost killed himself, mom said his racing career was over or a divorce was in his future. 😳🤣
cuanto sale?? how much????
This is how NASCAR used to sound. Awesome Ford.
Oh hell yeah😳😳😳
