Can you give an example of a lick repeating across a 2 5 1 over a whole tone scale .. that would help with fingering and different tonal centres Great lesson 👌
Hmmmm, a whole tone scale doesn’t fit with a ii V I progression down it won’t quite work. I like dividing whole tone scales into augmented triads like G-B-D# / F A C# / G B D# / A C# F etc
@@JeremySiskind thank for getting back! I suppose I mean a 251 in C then 251 in Bb 251 Ab , Gb ,E,D So lick connects from C tonal centre to Bb tonal centre.... With Cm7 as the 2 of Bb I can do the chord progressions for practice but not real lick or sentence to practice That probably all clear as mud Great tutorial btw will have get ur book too
@@JeremySiskind Yeah.. I have more experience with guitar, for which fingerings come automatically or quite quickly at least, so it’s been interesting to examine how i negotiate piano fingerings and develop this intuition.
Jeremy, I have watched many of your videos and they are absolutely great. However, the volume is very muted so I find it hard to follow. Could you please make your videos louder? Best Martin
9:13 that’s straight-up bebop. Swings well, rhythm’s on point, the lines are tremendously effective. Love it 🥰 😍
Thanks, Caleb!
This helped me so much with the drone improvisations you have us do. Thank you!
Awesome! I’m happy to hear it helped!!!
Thank you for the superb lesson
My pleasure!
Thanks for providing great tips in such a simple manner. Only true masters can do this.
That’s so kind! Thank you!
Nice !
