9:13 that’s straight-up bebop. Swings well, rhythm’s on point, the lines are tremendously effective. Love it 🥰 😍

This helped me so much with the drone improvisations you have us do. Thank you!

Can you give an example of a lick repeating across a 2 5 1 over a whole tone scale .. that would help with fingering and different tonal centres
    Great lesson 👌

      Hmmmm, a whole tone scale doesn’t fit with a ii V I progression down it won’t quite work. I like dividing whole tone scales into augmented triads like G-B-D# / F A C# / G B D# / A C# F etc

      @@JeremySiskind thank for getting back!
      I suppose I mean a 251 in C then 251 in Bb 251 Ab , Gb ,E,D
So lick connects from C tonal centre to Bb tonal centre.... With Cm7 as the 2 of Bb
I can do the chord progressions for practice but not real lick or sentence to practice
That probably all clear as mud
Great tutorial btw will have get ur book too

@@JeremySiskind Yeah.. I have more experience with guitar, for which fingerings come automatically or quite quickly at least, so it’s been interesting to examine how i negotiate piano fingerings and develop this intuition.

Jeremy, I have watched many of your videos and they are absolutely great. However, the volume is very muted so I find it hard to follow. Could you please make your videos louder?
    Best Martin
