Jaden Springer gave Grady that work a few times. He saw him guarding him and said oh no no no no passing was not an option. He drove the ball every time.

His defense will improve in a few seasons. I dont remember Curry and Klay playing good defense on their first 3 years in the NBA. As long as the shooters will be surrounded by good defenders they will be ok. That could and will balance the roster
Plenty of bad defenders all around the league getting by minutes cause they can shoot Grady will be alright
