Hindi is one of my absolute favourites. The precision at range is insane, but she has a "dead zone" against DDs between the range where AP starts over-penning and your torp range. Still, I'd sail APCS for the damage potential, and just adjust. I enjoyed the grind, honestly - Yorck is an HE spammer, and Roon is the sort of "training version", where you switch from the brawler that is Hipper to the ranged play you need in Hindi. One of my favourite lines, welcome to the dark side :)
Hindenburg really makes you appreciate the differences between all heavy cruisers. My personal struggle with going up the line will forever be having to go through Roon. Roon was the worst option for a Tier IX heavy cruiser when you look at the German CA line as a whole. She’s the only ship who would’ve been better off as a premium with all her secondaries available, but at the same time; it’s whatever. All lines have to have a “pay the price!” ship, and I suppose Roon is decent enough.

I don’t think Hipper is that rough, its just that if you have Mainz it’s hard to motivate playing it. Yorck is a bit rougher, though ppl often forget it’s one of the few German ships with decent HE and using it can make a big difference in some situations.
@nintendoandwowsblitz You trade one precise aim and one sonar for a radar, and direct comparison only has slight improvements for the black Hipper and nothing that's worse. I don't see anything debatable about that...

@Slai47 Sure, sometimes one needs quite a few games in a particular boat to get the hang of it properly, i know i do 😅. Oh is she already about 4 months "old", the time really flies! Getting 6h of sleep at a time much feel like a blessing, i know i did when both my kids got around to similar Sleepy times 👍. Thanks man, we are also well and good! Just cant believe that they gotten so big, 9y and 12y, the oldest is my boy and he is now taller than his mother 😁. Take care mate!
@@Slai47 radar 1 is straight up useless on Hindenburg because the range is too short against basically everything If you use it to radar a DD, you run the risk of getting close enough to overpen them. It also isn't very useful against cruisers because at sub 7km range you can literally just blindfire them and it will be about as effective. It's also similar to why Salem's sonar 2 is more preferable to Des Moines' radar 1. Sonar as a defensive tool against smoked up DDs and cruisers is much more useful as I have much more time to react to torps
I haven't been running leg mod on mine and overall doing just fine. But I'm trying to get wargaming to add them back to those ships like the collab ships get them
I hated Colorado when i started to play this game, went back to her for Vermont grind and immediately fell for her. i was so wrong and shes probably the best t7 TT BB.😂

Colorado was my first 100+k Dmg ship, without bots, liked play with her
She is a solid tier 7 bb, but there are other tier 7 battleships in the game like California and gneisensau that are a bit better in the end.
