Thank you for your comments. The reason why I discuss the product The Balls is that they reveal to players instantly if for example focussing on the cue ball at impact is more effective than focussing on the object ball for effective cue ball striking.

Ask those same players what ball they are looking at when they get down on the shot. All will say object ball .ie the target.

That proved nothing!! We didn’t see any balls go into the pockets!! The camera was on you instead of the result! You may have struck one shot better than the next. I,told me absolutely nothing!!

*most pro and coach say, get the cue tip to behind cueball. the way i play is i think shaun murphy does that, eg: as i get down my cue tip is above the cueball and i have to pull the cue back to bring the cue tip back behind the white, then start my featuring. does that cause problem ? and make the cue offline?*

Interesting stuff. I’ve always just focussed on the cue ball to ensure I’m cueing exactly where I intended to. I tried to look at the object ball but it just feels wrong. The main issue I’ve had, although I’ve had many saying it’s not important or doesn’t exist, is where to place the cue on the chin for correct aiming. I actually played in the same club as Gary Wilson when I was young and just copied his left eye aiming because he was making century breaks on the table along. I can’t find that sweet spot where I know I’m aiming where I want to. Be interesting to hear your take on this?

Chris. Invest in a decent camera man/woman for these videos🤣 Seriously though, where does the term...'He's taken his eye off the pot/object ball' come from? If, like you've mentioned the likes of Higgins, Hendry, O'sullivan all look at Cue ball on delivery they cannot, (in theory anyway) have taken their 'Eyes off the pot/object ball'..would love to hear your thoughts on this

I think the best you can do is to setup a perfectly straight shot, and then use two rests (other one supports the cue at the back and the other at the bridge position) to place the cue exactly on the line of the shot. Then without touching anything place your head on the cue and find the position where the shot looks the best aligned in your opinion. You have to make your brain recognise when a shot is straight and when the cue is pointing where you want to. Sometimes your eyes can do tricks on you and might give "a wrong image". You just have to fight and get over it.

There are thousands of good players out there not bothered where their eyes are focussing, they just get on with playing and improving. This, I feel is yet another gimmick.

C H Sir, From your video, I gather that when you looked at the pocket the demo ball went into the pocket straight in without touching the jaw and also the red ball when you played with the normal cue ball. In effect, I did not understand, what is the demo ball different? Is it a characteristic of the demoball that it will travel straight only when struck in the centre and cannot be spun to pull it into the line of aim while playing down the nap (assuming that correct pace is applied for the spin and distance} Will be very much obliged for a reply. with regards VishG

How is this going to help when your stance itself is completely wrong. No weight on the left leg, grip hand is twisted etc.
This is a rabbit hole. You should not try to control where the eyes are looking. Like you don't try to control your eyes when you are talking to a person. You don't really concentrate on the nose or the eyes.
I understand you are trying to help but this is the wrong direction. You need to fix your stance and cue action first.
These products do anything but give you instant diagnosis. The diagnosis is that your centre of vision is not on the line of aim. Aiming itself can never be wrong. Its the getting down part which people mess up. This is what causes unwanted side and lack of timing. Also, your line of swing is not on the line of aim. Your cue tends to dip down while striking.

You spoilt an otherwise good discussion about the eyes with cheap marketing for your own product! 🤦🏻‍♀️ When it has nothing to do with this topic.
