It's funny to see my house and my family Audi at 01:45. Highland Park and University Park in Dallas as well as The Woodlands in Houston are the wealthiest neighborhoods in all of Texas. Great video.

@@jzoedua80 You're right, I didn't mention some neighborhoods, I especially forgot to mention River Oaks, it's on par with Highland Park.

Pretty much anyone that buys a home in Texas has $, because the property taxes r outrageous, beautiful state, no question about it. CA has one thing over Texas. Since 1978 Constitution of CA enacted prop 13 which limits how much property taxes can go up. It was upheld by US Supreme Court. B4 1978 people were losing their homes because they could not afford the outrageous property taxes. Cannot exceed 1% of full cash value of property. Texas has NO CAP on how much property taxes can go up. Our neighbors who have money moved there. Beautiful place no question, if you buy a home, you pay the high taxes.

If your desire is to highlight high-end homes in Dallas, use a current listing site (or recent sales) such as Redfin, identify the top properties, and drive by them. You're generally in the right area (Highland Park and University Park), and your viewers would probably find it interesting. Thanks for posting this.

The trees and landscaping are beautiful though!!! 14:40 and 14:47 homes are a mixed bag imo but they look really nice with the big beautiful trees and landscaping. The houses at 14:51 16:05 and 15:22 are actually very nice. Definitely like some of the smaller homes better!

Turtle Creek is OK but really my favorite houses in Big D are in Highland Park and University Park.
So many McMansions were built over by Turtle Creek in the 90s and aughts and they tore down so many of the traditional beautiful houses there and built those over the top tacky huge houses.
They never had historic homes designations so the older houses could just be knocked down.

Also my neighbors bought a beautiful brick home in a area with neighbors not close to each other, gorgeous scenery and they paid under $500,000. These extreme expensive houses you showed us r no way worth the prices !

Ugly stone houses squeezed together right next to each other on small to medium lots. Looks like they're trying to make their houses look like mansions, but they're not mansions. To each his own. Happy travels!

It's a really old neighborhood going back to when the standard of living was different even for the wealthy, plus this is in the inner city. The highland park/university park areas are known as the old money neighborhoods of Dallas.

Going north on Oak Lawn where it turns into Preston on the corner with Armstrong there is a walled off property to your right. That place is said to be the home of the owner of the Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones.

Buddy you are in Dallas the south. Any where from Dallas to Georgia you see this architecture in alot of the old homes. You see alot of homes built like this, you know you are in the south.

Tacky homes, the colonial homes you see are like a stamp of wealth out there but no where else lol and for what it’s worth you could get acres of land and build ground up in other areas there.
