The fireball cancel is sick. Another fun one I use is PC sweep, wiff stHK (+4) Demon. Lol no one has jumped it yet, most people mash thinking stHK was an accident.
For Demon Setup 3 if you are raw drive rushing you can input parry + lp + forward > parry + lp + forward > forward + hp + lk. Makes it a bit easier than trying to buffer the entire demon input during the drive rush.
If you're a pad player what I found to be a game changer to input the demon instantly is making either a trigger or bumper button a Light kick/Heavy kick input. That way you can input forward, light kick and heavy punch at the same time without worrying about using your thumb to input both light and heavy kick. For me personally I made it my left bumper button. So I can use my left thumb to input forward, my left index finger to hit the light kick/heavy kick bumper, and my right thumb to hit heavy punch.
this video is godlike, this kind of content is amazing not just as a guide but it also helps newer players think about the game differently/get excited about all the intricacies of the game
Another setup is demon flip into a forced wiffed chop that goes behind them. You can do a shot flip to someone on wakeup to get behind them, wiff the chop, and buffer the demon into that.
Hey Brian, I would just like to add my own demon setup. Its actually a link off of the heavy hashogeki but only do the first hit. Youre left at +3 on hit and in grab range so you can input Demon and any button will get counter hit. They cant jump out after the flash of course so if they dont know then they get got lol
Great video! It'll definitely take some practice before I impliment these into my gameplan, but who knows! The mix off of light tatsu sweep seems reliable if I can read my opponent, the stand heavy punch seems relatively straight forward, and the method of reacting to someone that actually blocks both hits of standing heavy kick could definitely come in handy lmfao. Definitely running away with some simple and straight forward stuff here, but I'm looking to get the more complex stuff down as well. Thanks Brian!
I don't even play Akuma but this is the kind of videos I was expecting to fins when I was newer into fighting games. The fact that you explain when to delay/rush inputs, show how the frame bar should look like and the explanation behind it all, it makes for a great learning experience. Thank you for your work.
I feel like the moment players SEE Akuma has CA, they'll be pretty hesitant to even approach you in the first place. I've seen Akuma players even use this mindset to sort of condition them since But since Akuma has 2 CA which has different setups, this can kinda pull quite the pressure on them once they've reached the kill zone
Im a beginner but my favorite setup is Forward Jump, HP OR HK, cHP, cbHP + fHP, Demon ( I believe it is a guarantee and cannot be stopped if they are in combo
Another video that would be great if I could learn how to time individual button presses by imperceptible amounts of time, like 90% of the combos in the game. Gold rank for life, I guess.
I'll be honest as a Gold player there's so much I could learn before this video so I'll leave this comment here so I can remind myself to come back later.
I think it's the short range, lack of invincibility, slow startup and usage restriction (requires full bar AND low life) that makes it weak, not the damage dealt.
If you watch the video he's giving examples the whole time about how each one can fail. Just imagine he's saying here's how to beat this when he says your opponent can just xyz
On modern a demon is easier in that there is no forward input, and on both you can press the last two inputs at the same time to make demon faster. So if you can map the last two inputs to a button all you have to do is press three buttons for demon
What they should’ve done was give full invincibility and it cannot be jumped out of . Some of mine connected but I’ve lost games because some jumped out of it at close range
Thank you Brian for helping me "CASUALLY MESSATSU" my competition!!!
Its pretty funny how his Raging Demon dash sprite in the original SF2 is just his jump animation and that carried over.
The fireball cancel is sick. Another fun one I use is PC sweep, wiff stHK (+4) Demon. Lol no one has jumped it yet, most people mash thinking stHK was an accident.
The cheesy demon setups are the best ones
Noted!
God that thumbnail rocks

Thank you so much for this. I was so frustrated I couldn't get it without a jab coming out
I'm not even an akuma player and these are awesome
Just think even if you're not doing it you can know what Akumas might try to do to you
Small correction. I could be wrong, but I think you have to input the forward direction before you hit light punch and heavy kick.
If you're a pad player what I found to be a game changer to input the demon instantly is making either a trigger or bumper button a Light kick/Heavy kick input. the perfect intro doesn't exi-
You can also buffer LP with another button. I.e., HP+LP x 2, then the moment it hits, press the rest of the inputs.
Awesome content Brine! Got back into SF6 because of the Slam and love going through your educational vids :) Can't wait to try these out in the lab
Another setup is demon flip into a forced wiffed chop that goes behind them. You can do a shot flip to someone on wakeup to get behind them, wiff the chop, and buffer the demon into that.
Been a thing since SF4. Everyone already knew that exists
The forward input can't be on the same frame as LK+HP, needs to be at least 1 frame before or the demon won't come out.
I've been screaming this at the screen, multiple YT vids are peddling this nonsense haha, I have a vid on my channel showing minimun 5 frame input.
Agreed!! I already corrected a couple of creators on this already. Surprised that Brian also got it wrong
It's probably because in previous games you could, so they're taking it for granted
IMMEDIATELY saving this to watch later. Been looking for ways to actually hit Demon.
Perfect parry fireball option select demon is also OD. Great video!

The Sanford Kelly fireball demon setup is so cool.

18:09 Ah a fellow Stanford Oni enjoyer.
In SF6, Capcom should have kept Akuma in critical art so the player can demon as many times he or she wants, whenever he or she wants in each round.
…….
The Hadoken Raging set up would come in handy for guile mains
Very nice, thank you for sharing!!!

Thank you so much for this. Could you also do a video on Akumas Oki? Not a lot of information out there for this.
Thanks for teaching me this mr. F, now i know to just constatnly jump in fear!
Im a beginner but my favorite setup is Forward Jump, HP OR HK, cHP, cbHP + fHP, Demon ( I believe it is a guarantee and cannot be stopped if they are in combo
1:10 "nah changed my mind no demon for you."
Hey Brian, so for Demon setup 4: are you saying the goal for making it work is to have the second down jab input come out of the drive rush cancel?
11:59 The demon is inevitable
YOU WERE PRACTICALLY KISSING AKUMA?!??
what if we 😳
were practically kissing 👄
in Enma's Hollow
👉👈
I see brian f upload, I click
I wonder how viable it is to demon someone doing parry in neutral, since it whiffs for quite a while and you get an extended throw hurtbox
1:30 akuma has it in 3s with hadou demon cancel
Another video that would be great if I could learn how to time individual button presses by imperceptible amounts of time, like 90% of the combos in the game. Gold rank for life, I guess.
Is dr jab not working anymore? Ithe frame count is the same as video but they still able to jump
I also want to know.
Called it you could drive rush raging demon
I'll be honest as a Gold player there's so much I could learn before this video so I'll leave this comment here so I can remind myself to come back later.
Did you come back later
I found out that you can do Drive rush into demon by a level 8 CPU Akuma and that scared the living shit out of me
I saw diago do it on one of his streams haha.. he's one of the best at confirming demon imo
I decided to learn only 4 because this is too difficult for me and I can't do it once. The dummy jumps.
where’s the song from at the start of video??? i keep hearing it in street fighter videos and i can’t find out what it is
Akuma's theme from third strike (arranged)
@@BrainGeniusAcademythanks man 👍
I want Akuma to demon me
semen demon
neat
NICE
My 1st time unleashing it was a hit confirm with a counter jab…it was satisfying
😈🕹️
Thanks for the extra tips, nice clip 👍🏾
Shoush !
I think i saw it do more than half life almost 3/4 of damage. Is that considered a weak demon..?🤔
I think it's the short range, lack of invincibility, slow startup and usage restriction (requires full bar AND low life) that makes it weak, not the damage dealt.
Still loving turtles
How does burnout affect setups, is it just checkmate?
Framedata changes in burnout. Sometimes it is checkmate right away, but usually stuff works because the defender in burnout is longer in blockstun.
So how to beat these setups? Just jump everytime you get hit by DR jab?
It's like zangiefs lvl 3 super. You guess. Have fun!
If you watch the video he's giving examples the whole time about how each one can fail. Just imagine he's saying here's how to beat this when he says your opponent can just xyz
I mean considering Akuma has to have both CA and even lower health, you just have to be aware of the context during the blockstring.
Causally drive rush crouch jab Messatsu child.
Woah
If I lose a set, but I landed the demon. I won the set. That's how it works 😂
Ong. I care more about hitting the demon 😭
Jab Jab Binks
Demon is so fun. I just can’t hit it

Instant prison murder

It’s the same speed as the classic version. Holding forward or not holding doesn’t always make it faster
Fake news
Noice
Perfect! I was just looking for vids on how to do this!
ANGRY COMMENT ABOUT SOL
cost me a match doing one of these. did exactly what he did and didnt work.
What they should’ve done was give full invincibility and it cannot be jumped out of . Some of mine connected but I’ve lost games because some jumped out of it at close range
Well, not doing that with controller
They can jump over
While most of these are good, there is one setup that is a god tier American reset that gets around 7.2k with no drive usage
You have to combo into demon. Just when they’re struck.
