I so enjoyed watching this clip but wish I understood what they are saying! Nobody, but nobody, sings lieder in the fantastic way that Jonas Kaufmann can. Diane Damrau isn't hard to listen to either! The brilliant acting out of the characters must have been a joy to see. Helmut Deutsch's accompaniment is first class, as usual. This cd is just wonderful. ❤

Sorry, but not too crazy about the trio. Much prefer the duo, Jonas and Helmut! Damrau’s voice is beautiful but not fitting in this setting.
