My buddy bought a Rune three months ago. It’s the smoothest bike I have ever ridden. It’s fast and at 115mph I felt like I was doing 60! Just an AWSOME bike! It draws a crowd like nothing I have ever seen. He can’t get gas without someone asking to take a picture of it!
Honda was showing off, and if you've seen one in person you would understand immediately. 1.8 liters of motor is larger than what many car manufacturers are offering in their vehicles these days...Yes, the Rune is an absolute masterpiece..!!!!
This is identical to the bike I flew from the UK to Boston to buy and ship back home. Broke my heart when I had to sell it and I will buy another. Ultimate engineering, fast, comfortable, eats up the miles with ease. It rode mine from England to France to Belgium to Luxembourg to Germany to Switzerland to Italy and back again, 2,500 miles in one week...fan-fucking-tastic and many interesting conversations sparked by the Rune along the way!
My riding buddy has one of these and it’s bad assed! Smoothest bike I have ever rode! At 110mph it is smooth as butter and handles like your cruising at 50mph. Exceptional machine!
This project cost Honda 223 mil..... they told engineers to build bike that way. Very impressive. I know 2 people with this motorcycle and is awesome...just pure art, and very powerful.

I agree. It's like the motorcycle version of a Stutz-Bearcat car of the 30's, exotic doesn't do it justice. It's a long way from the Honda SL 100 I got in 1971!!!!!
lmao!!! Honda is too well known for shitty exhausts on amazing sounding bikes. My 94 Honda Magna sounded awful with stock exhaust, even though it has four pipes. All I did was pull the baffles and now it sounds absolutely amazing.
I love most cruisers and like the Honda Valkyrie Rune very well. It is very beautiful, holds it's value, and is motorcycle art. Thanks Honda, wonderful design. I still like the Yamaha Vmax really well too, it is a beauty, and is fast. So are many others and appreciate them all. I even like the Chevrolet powered V8 quads, however, 500 hp is plenty. Haven't ridden one, don't know how well they would handle and they are costly. Bo
Burnouts stress the frame, motor mounts , gears , rear forks and mountings and take years off a bike. They also do practically nothing for dragstrip performance. Don't be confused with an NHRA pro dragster that does a burnout across the line and two hundred feet down the track to lay two strips of hot rubber for traction and crowd showmanship. Wearing out your tires and your bike in the staging area does nothing except cost you money big time down the road.
Brent Hill you clearly don't.know anything about drag racing because you made yourself sound like a fucking idiot they do burn outs at the staging area to warm up the tire and make it sticky! Sometimes it will grab and sometimes it won't maybe you should try it sometime😂
in ios youtube preview it shows a bike which is NOT shown in video... because that bike in preview pic looks cool unlike those in videos.... yes it may be the same bike.. like a stock 250CC bike and a racing 250CC bike are same... but they arent

The bike in the preview pic is a highly customized 1500 Valkyrie. This is apparent because of the 1500 Valkyrie has 6 carburetors. All 1800's are fuel injected.
I have one here in the UK 2004 model with 35 K on the clock. Was in a sad state when I purchased it. Some parts were charged for the previous owner, such as the front master cylinder was gone, and a dual brake system was fitted. Also, a klicktronic gear change. Fuel injection system didn't work correctly, and only one ignition key came with it. After a long time searching the Web, I managed to cross reference the rotary air valve with a 2017 goldwing exactly the same part £480 pounds sterling later and ten minutes to fit. Body parts are the hardest to find. Exhaust heat shield example £ 1500 each, and that's for used ones. If you have one of these bikes, use it ride it love it don't sit it in the garage and look at it. Yes the coin on the cylinder head does work even on a cold engine. Ride safe.

this bike has non OEM exhaust outlets the originals were wax cast and had like 3 fins vs the round tips outlets on this Rune I wonder what the story is - now I see it's 2 different bikes and they have modded the exhaust a few dif ways lol cool
Geez, you're all going off a bit hard on the guy for just having a prefference. Styling is always a matter of opinion, what works for one might not work for the other. I really dislike any chopper with a stretched out front fork. Does that mean people who own/like those kind of bikes have some sort of deficiency? I'd like to think not.

The rune was the evolution of the Valkyrie; I do with they had stuck with the original 97 Valkyrie design.
