    All long distance trains in Spain and even some shorter distance regional ones require a seat reservation, you cannot just turn up and hop on.
    If you travel on AVE (high-speed) your ticket includes Combinado Cercanías (Combined Commuter) allowing you to travel by Cercanías (Suburban), Rodalies (Commuter) and the Alicante TRAM network. At stations in Cercanías hubs in Madrid, Malaga, Valencia and Murcia/Alicante, you can directly access the Cercanías network by scanning the barcode on your AVE ticket at the turnstiles.
    At your starting city, you must use the suburban ticket within 4 hours of your long-distance train departure, and at your destination you must use the suburban ticket within 4 hours of your long-distance train's arrival.
    Miguel Hernández Gilabert (30 October 1910 - 28 March 1942 was a 20th-century poet and playwright. Born into a humble background, he was self-taught and struggled against an unfavourable environment to build up his intellectual education. His father physically abused him for spending time with books instead of working, and who took him out of school as soon as he finished his primary education. Hernández died aged 32 of tuberculosis, imprisoned due to his active participation on the republican side of the Spanish civil war.

    "Bit posh for us", says Mrs Tim's Travels. Mr TT then proves it when he goes to the toilet. Thanks for these lovely Spanish videos both of you.

    Haha, loved the loo review especially the bit where you dropped the toilet roll 😂 oh thanks for the mention btw 👍 One thing I found out when doing those loo reviews was water first and if it works,soap then water again (and edit the first water bit out 😂). Nice one mate, really enjoyed that.

    The toilet review was so funny :D Love Renfe too, and definitely the most comfy seat on rails. Fantastic review.

    When I went interrailimg in the 90s, the Spanish were the poor relatives of Western European railways.. I felt that even coming from south east England.., how did they improve so fast and extensively, to arguably surpasss the French the network..
    No idea on the name front.. lol.. been to St Pancras.. and saint albans.. don’t know many after that.. enjoyed the puns

    Great video as usual! Seems like a nice journey and train. As a Norwich native, I think I'd prefer Norwich Partridge Station! (I doubt Dublin Connolly and Heuston count..) There is Liverpool John Lennon airport, but definitely a rarity! From Openstreetmap, it looks like there's a section of single track high speed line - did you notice anything? And given the lack of service frequency on Renfe, how many trains were there? Thanks again!

      Thanks so much for watching! I was thinking Norwich Partridge but thought I shouldn’t go there! 🤣 I didn’t spot the single track high speed section unfortunately. There are three direct AVE services in each direction. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with frequency when the upgrading of the “Mediterranean Corridor” is completed.

      España domina perfectamente el servicio de trenes y vías ferroviarias. No es la India, heredera del Imperio Britanico.😅

    Liverpool renamed their airport John Lennon when it was redeveloped. I think it may become a thing.... currently in Kusadasi and flew into Izmir - Adnan Menderes Airport (named after a former PM of Turkey). They tend to be politicians though - look at Ireland with Dublin - Connolly, Cork- Kent etc....
    In years to come maybe Heathrow will be renamed after Boris Johnson....or maybe not??
    London City - Kwasi Kwarteng Airport...again not sure...?

      @Timstravels01  Год назад

      Belfast City had George Best added to its name also. It’ll be interesting to see if it becomes a thing here in the future. The London City suggestion might work if the name was changed after 38 days. 🤣

    Si te digo que soy de Orihuela y me estoy viendo tu vídeo porque me voy de viaje en AVE a Madrid y no he viajado en tren desde que soterraron las vías y no conozco más que lo que sería la sala principal de la estación de mi ciudad, ¿te lo crees?
