Guys should see if the graphic for the strike zone balls can be emitted and a dot placed in the center of the graphic. If the dot is over the line in the box it’s a strike, outside it’s a ball. So more than half the ball needs to be one side or the other to count.
Movement pitches are very different between softball and baseball. It's a little hard to expect softball players to square up a baseball when they aren't used to the different movements. Maybe if he kept throwing fastballs.
You are correct. My daughter was a good softball player. She played in college. Her senior year she played baseball. Wasn’t a pitcher in the area that could throw a fastball by her, and that was with a bbcor bat. I believe her baseball bat was 7 ounces heavier then her softball bat. But when they threw her a curve ball she was lost. The amount of break in baseball was something she had never seen. Her brain had no data points.

Softball players have to have a quick bat. I would say any high level Softball player can effectively catch up to at least 95 mph once they settle in since they see 95 mph reaction time often from high level pitchers.
