Just pure happiness. AS-HiSpeed was so special because of this song, but also because it was an absolute playground for the shock rifle on top of the train cars. You often had extremely pure duels take place up there, with the limited roof space and danger of being pushed of making shock combos incredibly lethal. It was such a special map, and this song made it.
And stay down... You like that? I just slaughtered that guy. Fear me. You are obsulete. no fps will ever come close to how complete this game was and still is. Endess Mayhem in unforgettable maps, best bot ai ever created from novice to god-like, map editor, insane mutators. Ut community will live forever. 100% skillbased game. No micro transaction crap. Everyone is on even play field. I can not praise this game enough.
Познакомил меня с этой игрой мой батя, когда мне было 6 лет. Сейчас мне 17, и эта игра заняла у меня особое место в сердечке. Это именно тот шутер, где нет всей той бесполезной ерунды. Этот саундтрек мой самый любимый. Я не раз перепроходил карту "Скорость" (та что с поездом), и хочу выразить отдельно спасибо автору, что вставил это фрагмент. Ты лучший!!!
Я познакомился с ней когда мне было лет 12. Сейчас мне 35 )))

The visuals had me spell bound, from racing along with AS_Highspeed to falling through DM_Fractal, then seeing Pyramid and Zeto at the end, wonderful feel to the whole video.
Музыка отличная, я в восторге, но мало кто пишет про визуал. Он просто восхитительный. Эти загрузки файлов под бит, этот поезд с карты ассаулт в 99-м, эта бесконечная карта с ловушкой наверху...восторг!
Боже мой, это восхитительно. Очень сильно пробивает на ностальгию ушедших лет в игровых клубах начала нулевых. Респект!

You seem to capture all the hottest parts of the UT songs different than the other remakers. You really get it, when the other ones only get 40% you get 100% of what makes the song. Great work!

Why am I the only one thinking that the beginning part, at 0:23 - 0:31 , is super good and the follow up is phenomenal, like it's punching you in the face (that type of good XD)
My only desire is a what if, of that the portion at 0:31 - 0:45 , what if it had like a brief lingering half a second or so, of a pause with an echo after every second BAM, it would make it that much impactful. I don't know why I have that feeling that it would sound SO good.

->Boom boom *BAM* , boom boom *BAM* (but the second BAM is dragged with an echo and everything else pauses for a second or half a second and then the cycle repeats until 0:45 and it becomes normal with no interruptions)

UT was my first childhood video game and first FPS game ever and I love your videos and the passion you give into them ^_^
What was your signature/most loved weapon?
My signature weapon at the time that I was still playing the game, was "The Ripper". The bounce off headshot jumpscares was my dose of adrenaline. I say jumpscare because both me and the guy that I would own with it, we would both get scared. Me because of a sudden headshot announced by the announcer booming in my ears and the person because of suddenly seeing a disk in his face.
I was super into doing some crazy geometrical line ups at the time. I named myself as Jack due to some tv shows and some people called me Jack the Ripper as a nickname and at the time I didn't know the meaning of that nickname XD
I liked the weapon because of how versatile it can be on certain maps (not big open field ones, obviously)
You could use the Ripper and listen for the bounces to probe enemies locations (not always would I hit a headshot like obviously). I would get info where they would be at, sometimes, if I hit them because of certain audio cues when you would hit them. I was a weird 13 year old kid at the time and I started playing UT when I was 11 on Godlike difficulty by accident. (because I thought that the word Godlike was COOL XD)
@@themultix Ever since I played my first game (UT) on the hardest difficulty. I never played any other game after that on any easier difficulties unless the game didn't have that option.
I really loved UT. But sadly I cannot get into it anymore. I loved the Ripper because of the same reason that I loved the game. It was a Challenge to make it work. But once you had a knack for the Ripper and understood the beauty and potential of that weapon. Oh boy... some people said to me something along the lines. "Yo this Jack guy is playing a different game I swear"
I miss the good old times...
Edit: Basically with the Ripper, you *could* control the entire map( depending on the type of map, of course) with the bounces. The sickest kill I ever made was the longest bounce ever, I wish I had it all recorded. I was super crackhead at the time but stopped playing since then. I tried playing again nowadays and holy I am so bad now that it makes me want to cry XD
I would be that cringe kid and send out like 3 disks and would say the following "Go MY MINIONS" XD

Wasn't the original mod tracker music? If so, I'm 100% sure this is mostly made from the extracted samples and mixed differently.

One thing: some parts of the original track are slightly out of tune. I see that happen a lot with various remixes of MOD music tracks. I assume something's wrong with MODplug or whatnot that creates these small pitch errors. Always double check them with a tuner. I know that might be difficult in LMMS (I use Ardour). Thankfully it's not that bad in here, but I've heard some excellent remixes being completely unlistenable due to these issues.

I honestly think NU was aware he had done a not-great job of remixing Mechanism 8. Half of his video showcasing his remix played the original and then jarringly switched over to his less than stellar remix. Considering he normally does a semi-decent job (at least in my opinion), he did do a bad job lol
To be honest, it's hard to remix this one without sacrificing original's soul. Most remakes of this song does not involve the slow, chill-out section right before the end, and I haven't heard a remix that replaces or enhances these sweet synths - you just can't top these!

Да блин, было замечательное время интересных игр в скромной графике. Сейчас же скромные игры с пафосным графоном. Не идеи, ни вселенной, ни атмосферы. Одни микротранзакции.
Братан, дело в том что тогда, в 1999 году, анрил был пиком графики. Но вывозил он не графикой, а своей атмосферой, расчлененкой и геймплеем. UT до сих пор эталонный аренашутер по всем параметрам, именно поэтому в него до сих пор играют и до сих пор любят. Анрил вечен❤
@@pegasliusov блин, ну понятно же что я говорил с позиции сравнения с современными "играми". А в таком сравнении графика анрила уже очень скромная.
Но таки да, атмосфера, смелые варианты пушек с альтернативными режимами, расчлененка были на высоте.

Это не то, что я, со своими дилетантскими ремейками на Halo и Космических Рейнджеров. Здесь все: яркая визуализация с отсылочками, звук осовременен, хотелось бы конечно на некоторых инструментах индустриальных сделать небольшой акцент, но в целом все твои ремиксы на твердую пятерочку.

this is really funny.. this remix is so useless since the original one resonates and reverberates through completely unchanged in it´s original form.. the original from ut99 is simply perfect and nothing can change it or add to it.. slight variations and adlibs to main melody can so far as to rejuvenate it fon newer younger generations but the original is always there..
