Hey Paul, awesome video. Hopefully within a year I may be looking for a 40' ish trawler. But looking for a deal that comes with a good looking woman, that can cook and is rich. So keep your eyes open for me. 😀😀😀

You are one of two people that talked me out of buying a Hatteras 58 Tricabin. Thank You!! I bought a small farm instead.

Well I hate that you didn’t get your boat, but your small Farm might have been the better choice

Nice video Paul, and some very simple, and wise advice as to things to look for quickly before walking away. There are always exceptions but your guidance is very accurate.

Always, we have one under contract now that had some of these exceptions and probably worth paying a little more for LOL👍🏻❤️😂😆

I’ve always appreciated your honesty, and you’re the only guy I would trust when it comes to buying the right boat. You have already saved me a fortune, and the boat I’m looking for now has changed a lot because of your great advice 👍

@@NoRegretsLifestyle the last boat I looked at the cylinder head was removed, and just sitting there. He couldn’t even remember why the head was removed in the first place. The owner actually said you can just put it back on, and it will be just fine. Things like that definitely give me trust issues when with dealing with boat sellers LOL.

Thank you for sharing some of your wisdom! Last month, I called a broker about a local mid 1980's GB36 that he had listed for a client. The boat was listed for 139k and had been on his site for over a year. When I called he said the boat needs fuel tanks and is worth 1/2 of what his client wants. I appreciated his honesty. I'd imagine the client would not.

Well he is right, glad you didn’t waste time going to see it. If a broker knows of a problem he is supposed to share that info with you.

Great info. I'm about 1-2 years away from getting my boat. For me it starts in the engine room. If I have to look at 100 boats I will. I also graduated form UTI ( in Houston) a million years ago , and didnt relly stay in that industry 😉, but I am capable, mostly. And your brutal honesty is the reason you make a great broker.

You have to insure the delivery captain and mate as well.

The truth is that boating is for the wealthy. Cheap boats aren’t cheap. The only exception is old boats that the owner can do almost all the work themselves. That’s not most people’s idea of boating.
