Honestly, I'm afraid one thing will happen had he become big in china, it might be the end for 2pm or if the group is still, then he may not show as much enthusiasm for group activities.. just like what happened with Exo's Lay and Got7's jackson.
K-POP groups have age limitations. Can’t go on forever. Solo activities and personal growth is important too.
but for jackson he wasn't allowed to promote his stuff in south korea when he was still in-contract with his previous company. He's bringing all those back to sk now that he's free to promote his stuff
It would not happen. First , nichkhun is not chinese in the first place unlike jackson or lay. He is thai. He even can't speak chinese fluently.
Second , due to the previous reason he still has and will have a bigger fanbase in korea than in china.
And third , 2pm members are like a family and 2pm will never disband. In case of lay , he was banned from working in south korea. And as for jackson , he didn't dump his members and go to china. It just happened that after getting out of jyp , everyone went solo and jackson went back to where he belonged in the first place , his hometown , china. But he came back for the group comeback.
Over all , there's nothing to worry. 2pm members are focusing on their solo activities more for now, cause anyways they are getting older and are not as active as younger groups, but everyone of them would always be available for group comebacks when they happen.
As mentioned in previous comments, disbandment ain't gonna happen. Don't forget there are Chinese Hottests too! In fact, many of Khun's fans actually knew him as a 2PM member because they have stopped by China multiple times on their tours (before the THAAD thing in 2016).
If there's one group you can trust when it comes to staying together, it's 2PM. And "staying together" doesn't always equate to releasing albums and stuff. They're more than just an idol group at this point, practically brothers-from-other-mothers. They may not post much ot6 stuff online but they are famous among their staff and co-workers for being clingy and loyal to one another. Even now they still find the time to turn up at solo fanmeets/concerts and filming locations or watch one another's dramas/movies.
