    Your comments on exhaust port sizing line up very well with Ben Alameda. He often talks about the detrimental effects of over exhausting a motor, and cites several instances where reducing exhaust valve and port size, resulted in significant performance improvements. That's without changing anything on the intake.

      Oh 100% we have really seen this with the development of many of the aftermarket heads now, ford, LS, and even Holden.

      I like Ben Alameda.
      He shared a trick for the quench area. Rather than softening the cylinder, he cuts a tapered groove to jet the quench towards the spark plug.
