I've been playing this game for years now and achieved Diamond 2 in TL. It ceases to amaze me that you continue to put out content that I knew virtually nothing about. I had no idea that you could be right next to a structure and be completely hidden based on the enemies angle. Thanks for continually putting out high quality content!
one of my fav. spots are def. the little ones right next to the boss on sky tempel ... esp. as tracer or zeratul you can just run around them, and are gone for the enemy !!! ... with tracer you have your charges back to dash away ... and with zera you just move around the corner and can stay still for the 1 second to get completly invisible ..... or i should say ... every corner is a blessing for a low-health zera ^^ ... go around, wait till the enemys are gone, asking themself where you went and then port back into your base =)
I love how much this game is going more and more into mind games, the higher rank you get. Great video, Paradox! EDIT: I like to hide like that as Garrosh as well, cause it's most punishing, I think. With Diablo I like to shark around in the fog and look for a good Q. Similar with Stitches.
I just don't understand why there aren't more players who use this tactic. It's old and effective. Fog of war angles where a primary tool to success in WC3 and other games. Mixed feelings between sad and happy that you made this video NotParadox, hope you make more of these!
Another hide related thing is people should do the viking soak more often. For example on BoF say we got the immortal who goes bot and our solo laner goes top so we are 4v5 bot. Now generally, but especially with bruisers like Artanis, Thrall or Yrel I want you to sit in the gras right next to the minions amd just soak, because as soon as you show top the enemies will walk past the immortal and the fight will be much harder. If you want to push top you can do it, but at least wait until the immortal starts hitting the structures, so that if our opponent decides to ignore the immortal to get a 4v5, then they will sacrifice a part of their defense while if you clear lane right away, then they can 4v5 first and clear immortal afterwards or just as bad: your 4 teammates might decide to stay way back giving your opponent an easy clear on the immortal. If you hide and the opponent jumps anyway, then sometimes you will be bot and the opponent will risk sacrificing their defenders advantage for nothing, fighting while they should be defending and if they lose they might lose their keep on the very first immortal as a result (or even core if gametime>8min) Another spot for the viking soak is cursed hollow on early tributes if camps were taken too early or not at all and the tribute spawns top or bot on mid or own team column. Go viking soak (hide and soak) on the opposing lane and tell your team to try and soak the other 2 lanes while just delaying the curse. Don't do this with a global or generally heroes that are known for soak shenanigans (Blaze for example) because it will be too obvious. But you can do it with abovementioned bruisers and also with ambushers (kerri, butch and the like) and trappers (Dia, Stitch, Garrosh) and you might soak 2-4 waves until your opponent realizes he's being played and is actually up 4v5. At this point unless you actually got 1 or 2 lucky kills don't try to contest the tribute, but instead tell your team to give it, not risk dying and start pushing the opposite lane or if the defense is still holding (if you have strong pokers like Hanzo/Tyrande and peelers like ETC) start a camp. If the tribute is taken by the opponent, then you can still get some free structure damage on the opposing lane (until contested or possible gank, which is a good time to prepare for next trib (e.g. start a camp)) while your team should probably start a camp on their lane.
Can you like, find one of your old games on old hanamura and show us the Nazeebo thing? You got me reaaally curious. Tho I think that would mean a lot of searching 😅
Sneaky Sneaky Paradox :P I admit I don't realize how much more I could use fog of war. But nice kind remind from you man to abuse it as much as you can and learn to be as sneaky as possible :D
I enjoy using Azmodan and Junkrat with fog of war most. It can be tricky at times though since you can blind yourself too and get ganked if not careful.
He literally says you can do this with other characters, specifically other tanks and blowup assassins. Diablo, Muradin, ETC, Arthas, Anub'arak, Prot Varian are some good tank examples who can abuse this. Genji, Malthael, Valeera, Kel'Thuzad, Jaina, Arms Varian, Orphea are some good assassin examples who can abuse this as well.
Nah, Diablo can abuse these things too, as can Stitches to get a better angle for a hook. Combo heroes like Kerrigan, Kt, or KT can also potentially take advantage of FoW to surprise enemy players with their burst - although it should be said that characters like the latter two obviously have to be a bit more careful not to get caught out doing this. EDIT: Murky can also take advantage of this, regardless of which ult he takes. Surprising an enemy with Octograb or dropping the march in the middle of a team fight from a surprise angle can ruin the enemy team.
Yeah basically I view this fog tech as a pseudo-engage tool. It's almost like a Diablo flip, essentially just makes follow-up lockdown or damage combos easy.
Unrivaled makes those plays much more easier and impactful, never took WB but I'd imagine it's more about teamfight CC/sustain.. This is like the blowup talent which allows you throw further back AND from further range, it's like Garrosh gains colossal hands picking this talent :P :D
I think it might have been to increase the range on his 7 into the fray in order to chuck D.va's bombs further. She took Nuclear option at 7 to give the Garrosh more time to get himself in a position to reliably throw it, and potentially kill half the enemy team with it.
The biggest problem in hots is peoples inability to count to 5.
Im gonna quote that
or can count to 5 on the enemy team, but not your own, if you know what I mean.
they go and fight 3v5, they end up all dead, they blame me for not going to obj smh
Seems like a people problem.
Murky only counts to 1

Best description. Shouldn't have face checked. Got me proper scared.
Now I can get fully paranoid in HotS. "THEY ARE EVERYWHERE"

It's nice what you can do when your team actually also wants to play the game.
"What is your favorite spot to hide?"
Context is never overrated
Wow, when you talk about heroes, especially the mind game part, hots sounds so deep.
Great video :)
Hots is very deep if you play it using your brain
Any game, especially competitive, becomes granular when you want an edge over your competition.
Your video description made me laugh ahahaha
Loved the description, buddy! Great video once again :) Your content is so educational, it's great!

Damn I gotta start using that more when playing Garrosh. Thanks for the vid it'll sure come in handy!

Problem? Teams and lower ranks (dia >) dont follow mostly.
Whats that tank doing? Looks kinda dangerous. Better stay far away from that.

Great video thanks for keeping the content, I managed to get 5 wins in a row with ETC yesterday

11:52 is that a grandmaster muradin?
We all make mistakes...
Lol
I like to hide with Murky or Dehaka or some other kite-able hero to negate this and get to that annoying Tracer,Hammer, Hanzo.
I enjoy using Azmodan and Junkrat with fog of war most. It can be tricky at times though since you can blind yourself too and get ganked if not careful.
I abuse this hehe :D especially in that map and the mid spot. Great advice for rest of the players. Keep the good job
I use this a lot when body soaking with aba.
Also, the cursed hollow and mines are also good fog maps
That's why I like to play Lunara so much.
I will for sure be more wary of FOW in future games!
I love using Orphea and smash Varain to get the jump on the other teams back line using FoW. 5v4s are just so much easier to win.
great vid
hiding and ganking like youre on anor londo
This is a Garrosh tips and tricks video.
y, was about to say this is all nice round up Garrosh guide :P :D

NOT PLAYING A TANK IN A DIFFERENT GAME!? Big mistake
Why did you take unrivaled strength at Lvl 1 over the usual war breaker?

Why not? They're about equally good talents.

not by a long shot.
lmao so clickbaity...have a downvote
How is this clickbaity? The title is just a simple sentence and what it says is true. The thumbnail isn't exactly all that attractive either
