    READ: Hi! Update since this video was posted: I have since changed my prices on some services, my logo price is now in the mid-to high end price range for freelancers, because of demand on my services and the size of my platform. I recommend if you're starting out to stay in the lower $300-$400, but as you grow you can even double your prices, but that all comes with experience. Hope this helps!

    If you feel bad about asking to be paid more, don't feel bad. Remember that if you undervalue yourself, you're also undervaluing the rest of the design community and setting a less than savory norm for other designers.

    Hi Paola, very informative video and it's great to see what other freelancers charge. I do think you're undervaluing your services by quite a bit. I'm definitely not "seasoned" but I do charge $1,500 for a logo design, and I know there are some firms out there that charge even $20,000 for a logo design. If you're a young designer, all it takes is a bit of confidence when talking to your client and if it's a client that really wants to work with you, they'll find the money. Great video! I subbed.

  • @loulas3782
    @loulas3782 2 года назад +2

    $200-300 for a logo is really undercharging! See the value you bring to a business. For example, a simple white shirt is worth $5, while a simple white shirt with a Nike logo on it is worth $40. I think the starting price for a logo is around $800 and if the client is not interested, change your targeted industry to find clients who will see your value :)

    im just getting started with almost zero experience and professional training - and I am building my portfolio and I'm doing it for free for a bunch of my friends. but I'm coming to THEM asking if I can create things for them in order to just build a portfolio so I can show to potential paying clients. I'm not sure if that made sense - but I've tried the paid only gig and it was tough trying to build a portfolio from paid customers without even having a portfolio. so once I create those websites, business cards and menu cards for my friends lol I am building my portfolio to then get paid customers. lolol hope that made sense. also to get testimonials

    Hi Paola! Love the series :) Question-- when a client agree to a logo with two rounds of revisions, what happens when they are still unhappy with the design after the second round of revisions? Do you then charge them more to make changes? I've run into agreeing to a price up front but then I end up doing WAY more work than I thought because I didn't set the number of revisions in stone, but I was hesitant to do so because it seems unrealistic that they will be satisfied after only two revisions. Appreciate any advice!

    • @PaolaKassa
      @PaolaKassa  3 года назад +2

      hey- I do 3 revisions with my current clients, but I also have a clause in my contract that states any extra work has an hourly fee of $x/hr and that these are initial fees so final fees will be added later if there’s any extra changes! But I usually don’t have a problem with the 3 main revisions!
