I agree! I have listened to this before with perhaps a String Quartet, but it is also for me the first time I hear this with a Chamber Orchestra. So well played, with deep emotions!
Now I understand why this sounds so familiar, I have it on a record with a String Quartet, Brodsky Quartet, nr 8, op 110. How can I be so dumb that I missed that? Thank you, other commentators for reminding me. Anyway, this op 110a seems to be even more useful for me in my understanding of this music. It sort of widens my emotional experience of this work. Thank you all for wonderful playing!
@@MaaxxBerg So he set this stamp in almost what he composed? I have listened a lot to S-, but I have not always found this D-Es-C-H in his music. But Im only an amateur. Anyway it is very nice to have this key to his music. Thank you, again.
@@staffanolofsson8201 Not at all! Yes. This is a monograph. The 8th quartet is his most important work. Music of his life аnd about life in Russia in general.
@@MaaxxBerg This is what I have been listening to, his 8th quartet. Thanks for rememering me of what I have almost forgot! ruclips.net/video/gbe9KJpXaDQ/видео.html
Hauntingly beautiful. This is my first time experiencing this work. Extraordinary.

First time I've heard this enlargement of his 8th quartet. So perfectly excellent! Thanks, AVROTROS!
Great music, the arrangement to chamber strings it is very good, thanks

¡Grandioso!
Maravilha!
Wonderful. Isn´t the theme in the beginning also used in other works by Shostakovich? At least I can hear it in his String Quartet no 15 op 144.
D-Es-C-H = Dmitry Schostakowitsch. You can hear it in almost all of his compositions.
@@MaaxxBerg Thank you.
