I think Kurt Angle’s retirement match if not John Cena, it should’ve been Chad Gable. That would’ve been interesting, but Vince at that time turn Chad into Shorty G which I’m sure everybody can agree that gimmick was dumb.
Even if Corbin was so neccessary in the match thwy should've just made it a Triple Threat with Kurt, Baron Corbin & Cena And Corbin could be a heavy underdog on paper, but they could've wrote the match where he doesn't win (gets pinned by Kurt or Kurt pins Cena) but puts up a fight and impresses people

This star from the other show could have been built up to be the only one to do the job and reach stardom while doing it. They ruined it
