Dave (Jay Baruchel) is just an average college student, or so it appears, until the sorcerer Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) recruits him as his reluctant protégé and gives him a crash course in the art and science of magic. As he prepares for a battle against the forces of darkness in modern-day Manhattan, Dave finds it is going to take all of the courage he can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE.
this movie was insanely underrated. Loved the application of real world science vs. magic. We need another one but sadly will not get one
Yes it was Hollywood magic depicting the real deal Nicolas is a true Coppela though suited the role imo.

Watching it in 2024 and I really loved this film. It is so cool. Why was it rated so less I don't understand....Effort and visualisation awesome that too in 2010. In India we now have this kind of tech used in movies. We should appreciate the efforts made. Honestly from my end this movie is good and would like to have 2nd part...

Gotta love Disney's live action stuff as much as their animated movies. I mean sorcerer's apprentice and tron legacy were both just amazing movies. Hope we get sequels for both and I wish them luck.
