That happened to me once on accident and I didn't even realise my build was cracked until I went into a fight. I was playing like normal, got a couple relics: critikris and a light shaft potion. The latter one I picked just cuz it wouldn't hurt to pick. And then I picked the leaf.. I had no idea what I had just done.. 10 refreshes on the board, all of which trigger crits, and unlike crits, they don't disappear after being hit. And every time I trigger crit, I deal immediate, exponentially increasing damage to ALL enemies. I was legit wondering wth happened to the enemies, when they all disappeared in a matter of seconds before I even got a chance to throw an orb..
16:11 - "So I hear the slimed orbs get better if they get upgraded by stuff, I'm not sure exactly how" Healing slime heals an additional point for each +10 on the peg. Rubber slime gets bouncier for each +10. Lightning slime chains to an additional peg for each +10 (max 5). Damage reduction slime prevents an additional damage for each +10. Double damage slime doubles the bonus damage from the +es also. Poison slime deals additional damage equal to double the +es.
I seem to notice a bit of a bug with multiball and the chip throughout the video. Earlier, the first ball that exits the pegboard falls in the fire, so every subsequent orb that shot that fell in the fire did an additional 5 self damage. But then later, it must be that since the first ball landed in the 2x, every other ball that landed in there aswell did an extra 2x, resulting in the 400k damage jumpscare. Crazy
Molten Mantle seems really great on the third floor. There are some builds that don't benefit from it, but it is still pretty great in demolishing enemies as long as you do some damage. I haven't lost any game where I had it appear after the second floor boss, I for some reason have never seen it after the first floor, but I can see it absolutely destroying all your upgrades too early if that happens. I loved it even more in a run where I got about 400 coins and that orb that scales with money before coming upon Molten Mantle, the high damage destroyed the dragon in a few seconds
honestly speaking its a bit too good when it works i knew the moment tyler got it that the run is over i don't know wheather or not it should be nerfed though
@@blemmer146 It currently either ruins your run or boosts it to the moon, and the fact that you can skip it makes the possibility of bad consequences pretty much zero. I can definitely see it getting nerfed or even completely overhauled, this relic just multiplies your damage and gives some kind of aoe when you kill an enemy and get another one selected. Even a bomb build without any damaging stuff like shock orbsorber probably wouldn't mind getting it
I find it interesting that potion ballt keeps track of its damage counter for Molten Mantle, but does not display it. At 26:20, it killed all the enemies very quickly, but it was dealing "0 damage".
12:46 you probably upgraded the bomb because that's usually a peg space (bomb baton making it a bomb). I've seen that a lot with the relics that turn pegs into bombs
This reminded me of one of my favorite builds. It's 100% luck to get it because it requires two boss relics but DeFresh Potion + Glorious SuffeRing is so fun, especially when combined with Orbisium and Morbidorb for multi hits and Swoltorb and Reforbisher for increasing the amount applied.
4:55 - I wouldn't be too hard on youtubers for mixing up lefts and rights, surgeons will mark people's limbs with sharpie before surgeries so they dont operate on the wrong limbs!
I've been getting my lefts and rights confused since I was a kid. I actually found it more helpful to use compass directions (e.g. "The bathroom is down that hallway to the east").
that was an amazing run! I've been sleeping on the refillosopher's stone relic! That thing made you so much money with all the refresh synergies. Definitely some luck, but I don't think you could've made more optimal choices!
Man honestly you just feel so powerful playing against the enemies in low crucibal’s…… when you play past ball14 it’s just a nightmare. Every single run is insanely hard. I could have a 100% win rate at ball 12 and under… it’s crazy how hard the game gets. Especially ball 15 when they take 432 turns after your last shot. You literally lose 20+ health in early act 1 fights if you don’t kill before a reload!!!!! 20+ health on an 85hp hero is insane.
4:53 in rts games I get east and west mixed up. I played They Are Billions and the announcer for hordes goes, "There's a horde approaching from the west!" So I go, "I've got time. Lets build some defenses" and built a massive wall with ballista turrets on the rightside, east, of the map. I've since noticed it in other games and now I run NESW through my head anytime East and West are mentioned.
I've noticed Potion Ballt is... _almost_ detrimental. It applies slime, yes, but it also takes it away as there are many orbs bouncing around, undoing the persist on the slimed pegs, and what is worse, it does not benefit from any damage that is not an upgraded peg (because those add flat damage), which again gets nullified because it straight up DOES NOT SHOOT.
the rainbow slime just throws coins all over the board. kinda good if you can kill it early, but often they die late in the fight. Also the pegs are getting upgraded from slimes because of the relic you have. The little green slime looking guy with the halo, I forget what it's called lol
Another Splendid Video as always, Tyler. Oh, and also if you ever get the chance, I recommend you try out another very interesting roguelike called Diceomancer, a game similar to slay the spire with a very unique premise.
Rubborb is so underrated man. I have around 200 hours in peglin, with instigatorb its o good. Mitigates bad maps and awkward layouts which account for so many lost runs.
Poison slime from the potion ballt, at the end of your turn, the currently targeted enemy takes damage for every poison slime, each poison slime has a base damage of 10 and the damage can be modified by peg upgrades, hence why it dealt 83 damage
I have managed to kill the rainbow slime, actually. It’s best if you can kill it before the battle ends, if you can help it. It distributes coins to pegs, and stacks some, sometimes. You can also get some coins in the post-battle navigation, of course, you’ll just be limited by the actual navigation. Worth it if getting it doesn’t cost too much hp and you can nab a few coins. If not, you shouldn’t need to worry too much about missing it, unless you just sink too much effort to it and it gets away anyway.
I don't know this, but if you see this the true one. The true chess one you, if you would send all your pawns, then you get the unsending ending, please do it. It's the one with the accusation mode. And the wool book.
pegs are upgraded by effects like swoltorb, a good slime, glorious suffering etc (or downgraded by a couple similar things) pink (rubber) and orange (double) don't do anything extra other than the damage but if the other colours are upgraded they prevent more damage, do more damage at end of turn, zap more pegs, or heal more HP. For some reason the green, blue, other blue, and purple slimes all increase their effect if they're downgraded, e.g. synergizing with the endless devour ring he didn't take
potion ballt is the experience of: we're back- it's so over- (gets a good slime) WE'RE SO FUCKING BACK
Ah yes gambling
Wow, that build went from strong to "What the hell happened to my opponent" in no time at all.

24:42 Pegged so good that Tyler actually hit a Pogchamp
PEGCHAMP
There are a few REALLY good frames in that reaction. That's one of the poggest pegchamps I've ever seen.
what happened just then wha?

Yeah I think a ball falling into a hole and activating that hole's effect is intended behavior
Sounds intended
are we not talking about the 412160 damage dealth at 29:28
I have a screenshot to prove to myself that happened....😮
Didn't even see that until I saw your comment lol
Just a spoonful
perfect comment considering your pfp

That's what I was thinking, definitely not strictly a RUclipsr thing :P
my fav orb honestly. just has so much synergy.

I have had that even duplicate a Teriball and Horriball before...so pebball is a delight.
I might be in class but the peglin video dropped, I'm already 10mins late time to pretend to listen and watch this
Hapy to see you like Rhett and Link
11:59, you can't. This could have been the run, and you throw it away. We live to one day see the assemball fully formed.
15:00 it's the slime that comes from "Chemiball hazard" I believe, but being made by potion ballt
I gotta say, Editor did great. Really felt like I knew what was going on.
i think this run was saved by the memorb tutorial. if he didn't get it, who knows how he would've won?
I've never seen Balleviation work this well before. I also never thought Molten Mantle would actually deal damage with Potion Ballt
The boss relic that upgrades pegs hit would have gone crazy on this build
you are thinking of Glorious SuffeRing the relic he got(Endless DevouRing) dawngrades pegs hit
The reason upgraded slime pegs are good is because the slime gives pegs “durable”, so they get that extra damage every time the ball hits the peg
Idk how to say this but your editor is almost too good for RUclips with their eye for informing the viewer and sleek subtle things

dang, prime slime would've been super funny with this build
I get my right and left confused a LOT and learned it is a symptom of dyslexia, which my father has.
