Alright, so I've come up with this crazy headcanon that ties together several pieces of Titanic media, including the Asylum's two movies. Hang on, because this is gonna get crazy. In this headcanon of mine, the 2012 miniseries "Titanic: Blood and Steel", the 1979 film "S.O.S. Titanic", "Raise the Titanic", and the Asylum's Titanic films all take place in the same timeline. First off, in the miniseries "Titanic: Blood and Steel", the Titanic is shown being built in what was actually Olympic's slipway. The Olympic, in this series, is already finished when Titanic's keel is laid, meaning she enters service in 1909 rather than 1911. In "Raise the Titanic", when the cornet belonging to fictional band member Graham Farley is recovered, it is mentioned that he served on Olympic for three years before being transferred to Titanic. Again, this would only be possible if Olympic entered service in 1909 rather than 1911. Also in "Raise the Titanic", the White Star Line is referred to as if it still exists, meaning the merger with Cunard either didn't happen, or the two companies split up following the merger, rather than Cunard absorbing White Star. In "Titanic 666", the Titanic III is owned by the White Star Line, somehow still in business as of 2022. In that same film, the original Titanic is shown going down intact, meaning it's possible for her to be raised later on. And finally, "S.O.S. Titanic" I threw in there for two reasons. One, the studio executive who greenlit "S.O.S. Titanic" was actually the brother of the producer of "Raise the Titanic". That, and the two films were produced around the same time, making them sister films in a way. Also, "S.O.S. Titanic" is filmed on the Queen Mary, making it, in my opinion, a spiritual predecessor to the Asylum's films, both of which also use the Queen Mary. So here's how the timeline goes: 1909, the Olympic enters service with Graham Farley on board as the cornetist in the ship's band. Titanic is laid down in Olympic's slipway and her timeline of construction proceeds the same as in real life. 1912, Titanic sails, Graham Farley the cornetist is transferred to her, and she sinks on her maiden voyage, going down in one piece. 1980, a US Navy salvage team led by Dirk Pitt succeeds in raising the Titanic and taking her to New York. 2012, Titanic II is built, and sinks. 2022, the White Star Line builds Titanic III... which sinks. So yeah, that's one crazy timeline. Sure am glad we live in this timeline and not that one. Keep in mind it's not supposed to be taken seriously, it's just a bit of fun. I personally like to call it "The Worst Possible Titanic Timeline". So... if you somehow managed to read all that, what do you think?
