Sonic 06 Legacy of Solaris NVMe SSD Loading Times Test

Recently got a new PC, decided to test out 06 loading times on it just out of sheer curiosity sake as the game's loading times on real hardware are still some of the longest in the franchise history. In general emulating 06 through Xenia on any modern gaming PC still sees vast improvements in load times by comparison. Now onto the video itself, the loading times are absurdly fast, probably taking about 3 seconds at the very worst. It is honestly surreal to see retail 06 load so fast.

The fact that the director of 06 is the one who was responsible for emerald coast and the whale sequence still makes me smile man sega screwed him up

Nakamura is definetly still one of the best devs Sonic Team has to this day and i wish they gave him the reins a bit more to more projects and i assure you we would get consistent bangers throughout the whole series.

@ A little fun fact he actually came up with sonic forces
in an interview about the hedgehog engine 2 and how it was developed he said that he came up with a grim dark sonic game idea and quickly started working on it and submitted it to the person in charge of the games (morio kishimoto) just like how frontiers started as a rough tech demo by someone else
