    I am an American Radiologic Technologist- the American equivalent of the UK Radiographer of almost 30 years practice. The video was good, but let me add this:
    Having people skills is of critical importance to doing this job well. You will be working with and interacting with patients and family members under great stress many times, many are apprehensive as well. You have to take all comers from the cutest little kid to the meanest drunk and treat all with dignity, respect and professionalism.
    If you do not like interacting with people or are not good at it you will be miserable in this profession.

      Really??? I am an introvert and I chose radiography because I thought it does not require that much talking... I wish I have chosen med lab instead of radiography...

      Probably biology but each university may have different subjects. It’s a three year course.

    • @VolumeVita
      @VolumeVita 5 лет назад +3

      it is a very very scientific course, you will need to take a lot of biology, human morphology, anatomy, and physiology as well as physics. it depends on your university or college or institute but this is generally what you need to learn. you will also be taking radiography courses as this is how you will learn to use the modalities and to obtain high-quality images while still maintaining patient safety. Some universities also offer courses on communication and how to interact with patients as that is a huge part of working in healthcare. A bachelors of science is three years (highly recommended as this will allow you to continue your education and further your career) or you can go for an associates degree or certificate degree which is generally two years

      Also you will have on the job training or what we call clinical training

      There is a difference between holding a PhD and an MD. An MD is a medical doctorate which qualifies you to practice medicine, a PhD can be in anything and will not in itself qualify you as a medical doctor.
