Spoiler alerts. This drama is refreshingly good. The main leads have strong chemistry and their love-hate adventure has made me glued to my TV. The supporting roles have their moment too and I chuckled at the wimpy girl who had to act tough to survive at Wan Lu Sect. And Jiang Wu, my red-haired Deadpool. When I grow up watching TVB drama, I always wonder why there are good and evil sects. This drama finally helps me to understand why people changed and most of it was due to circumstances. There was no forgiveness here, it's pure revenge. And then, I remember a Shaolin monk famous quote "blood for blood only lead to more bloodshed" or something like that lol. This show is so good because it's different from the other drama I've watched. What really saves the relationship between Lu Yao and Li Chenlan was the show cleverly uses of the invisibility pill and the ability to travel to a mystical place where an individual had gone through a near-death expeperice. I like the new rebellious Lu Yao. I gotta give credit to the makeup artist. They've made her sexy and appealing. She's also good with words. It's almost like beating someone in a debate using entirely of well put words. It's so poetic. In other word, she's cool. I also like her flirts. Lu Yao is a dream actress where I've been waiting for a very long time. Her new personality is very likable. The only flaw for being a badass is that she's very impulsive. I remember her grandpa said at the beginning of the show, where he said Lu Yao lost her mother at a young age because her mother was impulsive. Unfortunately, the show suddenly stops being enjoyable and it comes as a surprise. Here is why. I apologize in advance for the following rants. At Ep 30, the show makes Lu Yao really stupid by going alone to take on the whole Jianxin Sect, right after she learned that her nemesis Mingxuan has revived. Lu ZhaoYao got her full power back by swallowing an experimental pill from the mystical place. She learns the truth later on that the pill she took will eventually kill her. She went there just to be captured twice and the third time she nearly lost her head it wasn't for Li Chenlan getting there in time to block the death blow. That part really grind my gears. I really want to see where Lu ZhaoYao reunited with her genersls before going after the Jianxin sect. Kill Mingxuan and his cronies and maybe have a happy ending? Nope. This show keeps releasing useless episodes upon useless episodes. I begin to wonder if the show replaces a veteran director with a stupid amateur. To add insult to injuries, they kill off the coolest doctor with the heart of gold on Ep 47. Hangquan perishes in prison trying to get the rebirth root to cure the large open wound on Li Chenlan back. He was there for anyone that needed his help.. This show gets really bad at Ep 52, especially when Li Chenlan inner demon completely took over and he starts killing everyone. The show turns to Lu ZhaoYao, where she took out the lighting sword from the chest next to her bed. The show has completely forgotten that the lighting sword is already in the hands of Mingxuan, given away by Lin Ziyu. Remember the girl with a whip? Anyway, Li ChanLan was about to close on Lu Yao for the kill, but then the show just teleports them away. And Li was on the bed, knockouts cold. Whaat?! This part got weirder. Remember the body switching scheme? I thought the Xu Zong leader had succeeded in stealing Mingxuan body, but the show changed their mind when he emerges from the well. Update: I'm completely lost interest in this show and I'm at Ep 52. They have made Li Chenlan a crippled who closes his eyes all the time because he's trying to suppress his demon from taking over. Lu Yao has become timid. Again, I was soooo eager to see Lu Yao reunited with her generals, make compromise, have a good plan and all march to take on Mingxuan and finish him for good. Right after she took the recovery pill but nope. Her selfishness and impulsiveness bring death to so many people. She was selfish for going alone by herself to take on Mingxuan and his sect. The reason why she able to defeat him before was mainly because her generals all show up to help her. She was impulsive because she doesn't have faith in Li Chenlan and she doesn't seem to learn anything from her journey, particularly her loyal generals, even after seeing their side of the story while she was in someone's else body. I hate her so much after that or in this case, the new stupid amateur director for making her that way. It make me so angry and I just wish the show let her die by the hand of Mingxuan. Li Chenlan lost it and kill everyone. The end.
One of the BEST dramas! The plot is one of the best ones I've ever seen, and the chemistry between the actors are amazing! I thought I would get bored of it since it has 55 episodes, but nope! It grappled by attention and I finished it in a couple of days.
Bai Lu is so beautiful. Xu Kai is a bit pitiful in this episode. He is like a newborn baby who doesn’t understand anything, but he is very kind, like an angel. He turned out to be the son of a devil. Interesting plot.
Absolutely stunning. Thank you for the upload, I am continuously amazed as to how well these dramas are made and the attention to the details are impeccable.

I think the demon son is warm hearted. He never treated anything bad from the beginning. Even at the moment of him been bitten he still held on to the buns just to feed the dog and even the homeless man. I was touched

Since you feel like this drama doesn't really tie all the loose ends, you're going to read the novel and compare its similarities and differences to the drama. Though you wished this drama was portrayed in a clearer script and storyboard, you don't regret the 4 days you used to watch this drama. Bai Lu and Xu Kai has unmatched chemistry when acting together and you hope they can star in more projects together in the near future.

I finish this drama already but i dont want to end? This drama is too good they are a new comer the 2 main lead ZHAO YAO AND MO QING but they are indredible in acting..the storyline,the action,the romance are fantastic.. 我来了我来了！2022年我终于第一次来看招摇！为了白鹿，加上她和许凯的CP来看的！刚刚看完了，强烈安利！虽然配角不太喜欢，只喜欢琴芷嫣，其他配角不好看，不精彩，那些感情线也好无聊，都可以跳过，但白鹿和许凯这对主CP太精彩了，就他们俩撑起了整部剧，为了他们的角色和感情线，CP感，一定一定要去看！男女主角的角色设定已经很独特，跟其他剧不一样，很喜欢，他们也很适合角色，适配度很高，贴合角色，演技好，诠释的很好。很难去描述人设，但真的很好很好，去看吧！
