It's easier than it looks don't worry
Great Vid! ONLY THING at 0:38 it should be a d# against an E in the left hand to resolve to the c# making a splendid I/IV chord!!
Good ear (eye?), you're right!
+James Mitchell u can hear that if u concentrate a bit more
+Kenneth Perkins music Can you please explain further? I am just getting into music theory and am curious about what you mean
Yes. Some scores have it written down as D natural. I think it's an old mistake in the printing of some copies but some people do play it that way. The proper way is of course to play the chord as D#
when i see too much of this synthesia videos, i start to look around and see everything stretch :)
this is by far the EASIEST rachmaninoff composition
but it's still a pretty difficult piece
It's impossible to play if you don't have big hands
No b flat or prelude 12
ok 2:06
my hands are very small I almost mastered this in 6 months 2 chords are difficult but with exercises and practice I got them
Solution to 2:47
Hold the sustain pedal then quickly play the octaves and the notes in between
Works for me
2:08 Wow that took some time to learn
This video is great. If you could also do Rachmaninov's Prelude in G minor that would be awesome!
***** Yup. Thank you!
Why does this remind me of bowser's castle in mario bros ?
@Victore319 Not very likely because someone without perfect pitch can't even distinguish between keys.
Cool!
Many phrases without sustain but still super good
me la voy aprender :D
2:46 WTF?!
Desativado I
The middle chord is doubled. Don't need to use. Its was an error
Lmfao this dude must think we've got 3 arms
FINALLY FOUND IT!!!
Is anyone else here like grade 2/3 in piano yet trying to play this piece and having a mental breakdown. btw amazing job its really good 10/10
Sofia The Sofa Imgrade 4 and learning prelude in g minor
I wish you best of luck because this piece is like 1/10 of g minor and i'm struggling (i've tried learning it as well -.- didn't get very far) also ice-cream helps with the mental breakdowns, XD
Sofia The Sofa Did you ever complete it?
This is a around the level of a Grade 8 piece, so I'm not surprised.
相変わらず素晴らしいねぇ❗見た目にインパクトがある動画だからね。音質がベストだね。
1:37 he decided that it was to easy so far
Seriously I haven't seen your videos for a while, are they like all 0 thumbs down?
2:47 wtf I thought these were possible, i can't span like 4 octaves
O.o
you have 2 hands
@@saboss no i was amputated at the age of 7, leaving me with only 1 hand
That moment..When u played this prelude in musical school...Oh...That time :c
Hi PianoREADER, I've been relentlessly looking for a tutorial for Rachmaninoff's Serenade Op. 3 No. 5 (1940) from the Morceaux de Fantaisie, with no luck. Will you post this any time soon? It's a hard piece to learn.
Can you do johns boolms boogie?
Does any one have the music sheet for that
0:19 practicing
when I got the sheets for this and at the bottom of the third page I thought there was a mistake in the score. I wasn't expecting four staves haha
Rachel Hanson Nobody expected that shit
@@carlosmendozapiano Hello, I like your profile pic lol
Wayne B
Me too Mr, me too
Same!!
2:47 is not possible to play... or am I wrong?
AlexJamesGTV most seem really hard and yes some seem near impossible..
It's possible to play, I can play this
Ruben Araujo don't be ridiculous, you can't play 6 octaves (means holding C0, C1, C2, C3 and C5) at once with only two hands using only ten fingers
i don't even know what an octave is xD
There are no 6 octaves
blueberries playing piano
Speed at x0,75 is a better tempo
3:12
I love you’re playing because you feel it and you play really well but I’m sorry but I really wish you changed the colours for the left and right hands so I know the difference because I want to learn for you but I don’t know left from right, sorry if this sounds stupid. thanks for you’re films I love them
Just learn it off sheet music. A beginner shouldnt be trying this in the first place
Am I the only one who came from that song One Call Away and vigorously came looking for this song?
Dude, same here!
Mia Medina
This is a beautiful piece, yes.
2:10
Если было бы разделение на два цвета левая и правая рука, было бы удобнее.
This seems simplified compared to the version I'm trying to learn
And what version was that?
this was from one call away
2:47 2:59 how to physically play it
you have 2 hands
2:58 what ?
It actually two chords played extremely close together.
HOO-DINI
I dont know who "dini" is lol
+isaac fleming Come to think of it, i can't recall anyone by that name either....
How do you call a magical owl ? HOO-DINI ~~
wow... im done
Ben Lenker I'm ded
are there any easier pieces by Rachmaninoff I mean I can play this but I like easier
Ricardo Ibarra Yes, his 3rd piano concerto is quite easy, and the third movement is quite popular among young students
Franz Liszt prankd this piano noob amirite?
hellhaiser rises!
2:47 dafaq??
It’s easy, you just have to hit the bottom chord and jump up really quickly. It’s not that hard after u have practiced
Yes, I have managed to play it already by now. But thanks anyway ;)
this song sounds very similar to russian rag by g cobb
look it up, rachmaninov was in the same restaurant as cobb, but sat behind him, and after cobb presumed of his ability to rag anything at all, his friend asked cobb to rag this prelude; cobb went to the piano and played what later became russian rag, meanwhile rachmaninov stood up and approached, so that when he finished the piece, cobb turned around and nearly had a heart attack, rach said "nice melody, but the rhythm is all wrong"
what lvl is this?? Personally I think (in Henley scale) it's level 7-8 sombedy knows the actual lvl??
Henle 6
NoName Thx for the information , it's not as hard to play as it seems in first place, I agree with the system with this piece
Hero Player 2.87 y but the part at 2:05 -3:50 is rlly hard in my opinion, a 7+
NoName It's hard but believe me, if you practice slow and with the proper technique it will become easy to play with the time
2:47 thats Impossible:v
Hi there. What's the copyright policy of your music?
**heavy breathing**
*EVEN HEAVIER BREATHING*
Everyone else was to ashamed to even tell you why you fucked up with that question but i'll hold you to why your a fucking idiot:
Copyrights don't last forever jackass, especially old compositions and the original owners of the music have nothing to do with it nowadays.
Dead people can't sue...
Well with the exception of happy birthday and thats shit is just fucked up anyways and you don't see disney trying to sue anyone for singing/using happy birthday LMAO!!!(well that one time...)
that is what charlie puth played!!!!
2:47 Wtf?!!? Can any giant animal in the world span 4 octaves or press 20 keys at a time?
Rachmaninoff
When your fingers are 2 feet long
Are you trying to make Color Blind people feel normal by NOT using two distinct colors for each hand?
"Blue and... Blue. Yea, that'll work."
2:58 wtf
2:16 Rachmaninoff? No. RachmaninON
Im only one.... Call awayyy
2:47 the fuck?
lol i played it when i was 13
Lifeless.
Vekt Rohmmer Agreed
Vekt Rohmmer This performance is awful. Agreed.
Now if you're talking about the song...
The song is like Cthulhu is waking up from his slumber. And crawling up the Empire State Building.
Lifeisgood72 I was going to say it sounds like a machine playing it... the dynamics are almost nonexistent.
But that probably had more to do with it being an electric piano than the performer - if you look at the length of the chords in that first coda, they always hold a note or two longer than the main chord... I'm guessing because they're compensating for the lack of pedal (but this is purely speculative).
endorphinsFTW haha your face looks lifeless 😂
Вы не обязаны точь в точь как в песне. Можно упростить аккорды переходы и так далее под себя
Impossible to play
tasso curioso it's not impossible, I'm 14 and have a fairly normal handspan length, and yes it's difficult but it just takes a ton of practice.
Horrible performance. There are no legatos, no dynamics, no accents, no directions...
Fuck you?
Awful interpretation
