in my country if you win something at the lottery, the taxes thing is pretty much always covered by the company that runs the lottery. You never have to deal with these taxes yourself, it's just a basic thing here, I have won multiple lotteries and all I need to do is giving them the shipping address or bank account number
I live in norway and we dont get taxed on lotaries and stuff like these

On average about 35% goes to taxes, plus deductibles for health insurance, social security (which they're trying to take away so all the money we pay into it is for nothing) local taxes, and state taxes. Also the things jobs take out like retirement funds or whatever. I was working 40 hours a week at 16 an hour and only brought home 600 every two weeks, and I couldn't afford my medical bills and rent was $800 a month. Needless to say, my health kept getting worse and I'm homeless now 😅
