Thanks for this! I tend not to fussy cut until I need the image, which is a pain sometimes, but I never want to do it, and that way ,the images are safer. And I can always change my mind about using how I need the image, too.
Exactly, with not fussy cutting, there’s way less chance to damage them while rifling through them. The only reason I fussy cut so many ahead of time is I’m one of the few weirdos who LOVES to fussy cut. It’s what I’ve been doing every night lately while watching tv. 🤷🏻♀️😂

You’ve got this! I suggest figuring out what categories or method you’d like to use to sort your images, then sort and see what you’ve got. Then you know what size/type of folders/envelopes/etc each category will need. I’d love to hear what you come up with!
Girl, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Wait until I get moved and set up my new craft room. I have two 4-drawer filing cabinets full of ephemera. It’s a hoard at this point. 😂

I’m happy it was helpful Lisa. I’m currently organizing and purging my whole collage image collection, and will post an updated video when it’s done. That will likely be a few months though, as my stash is ridiculously large. 😆

I’m already struggling to organize the things I have in a way that makes creating easier. I have the feeling I will still be trying to improve the process as long as I live. All part of the fun!😘
Hi Missy! You mean when I mention collaging envelopes? I do make them for snail mail, as I do a lot of swapping. I’d be happy to make a video showing how I make/decorate my outgoing snail mail!
@@JenniferDurdleArt yes, you mentioned collaging envelopes. Do they hold up in the mail delivery? I have often thought of making post cards but wondered if they would hold up. When I was in school forever ago, we used to make envelopes from magazine pages for snail mail. They held up! We also used to think it was fun to turn a recieved envelope inside out and use it again. Haha
@@missyb.623 okay, yes I’ve done collage envelopes & post cards both.As far as I know, they hold up well in the mail (I’ve never gotten a complaint). That being said, if I’m using anything thicker than say a book page, I’ll seal the envelope/pc with gel medium or I’ve even used packing tape. I’ll make a video soon showing the different methods I’ve used to both decorate and make different kinds of envelopes. You should definitely give making post cards a try; as long as there’s nothing that sticks up on them (rhinestones, etc), they’ll be fine.

Sometimes I love the organizing part more than the actual creating part. I can sort beads and buttons for literally hours, happy as a clam. 😂 My sorting obsession actually landed me a job in the count room of a casino once. The interviewer asked me a question about my organizational skills and I told her exactly what I said above. I was the only person hired who didn’t have previous banking experience. My obsessive sorting of beads and buttons literally got me the job. 😂 I absolutely loved the part of the job that involved strapping and bundling bills. Having them all perfectly square and stacked was so satisfying. It’s a sickness, I swear. 😂
This organization speaks to me. Gradually acquiring clear plastic envelopes from Thrift store. They make sorting and retrieving so efficient. No classy washi tape for me I’m using dollar store masking tape 😂
Quite a few of my washi tapes are from the dollar store. I can’t keep a roll of making tape, my husband inevitably ends up stealing it. 😂 That’s awesome that you’ve been finding the plastic envelopes second hand, I’ve never been lucky enough to find any!
