If anyone deserves some money for their work, its definitely you. You made me keep playing and learning and all that for free. Its my favourite little nieche and there is so little info available. You are giving so much and request so little for the time youve spent on the Ebook back then, all the videos and the course. Thanks a lot for your work. ❤

Hi Steve, I just want to say thanks for everything you've done over the last decade, I am not even particularly a diehard fan of the mathrock/Midwest emo genre but I have found your channel to be an invaluable resource for my guitar playing in general (as I am one of those annoying idiots who is seemingly into every genre of music and learning styles and techniques from across the smorgasbord of genres has been brilliant for my own creativity). I am unfortunately not in a financial position to be able to afford to purchase your workshop, even with your very generous discount (lets just say that one doesn't become a carer for a parent for the financial rewards) but I am sincere in wishing that it's an absolute success for you. All that's left to say is a repetition of my gratitude towards your efforts and hard work with the channel. I often find myself watching your videos when I am in search for a particular ambiance I am wanting to impart into a piece and as previously stated you've been an invaluable resource for my own creative endeavours. I sincerely wish you nothing but success and happiness for the future, you seem to be a honest and wholesome person and to that end I can't help but want you to succeed. All the best mate, you're a legend!
Thanks, Steve! Just wanted to let you know how much fun it is getting these rhythms down with you. If you keep putting out workshops from the book, you’ve got a happy student here
I bought your Essentials book and so far it's been very interesting and helpful. I'm tempted by the courses but I'm also a complete beginner. Not really sure where to find the best lessons to be honest. So many options out there!
Thanks for the comment! and thanks for getting the book. if you are a complete beginner then they might be a bit too hard for your right now. However, my chords essentials course isn’t crazy difficult if you take your time with it, so that might be the best one to start with when you're ready 🙌
what kind of pickups do you use? do you just run stock fender pickups because i really love the mathrock/midwest emo twinkly cleans and that nice overdriven tele sound you get. i thought about seymour duncan quarter pounds but they seem a bit too hummy and high output.
Thanks Steve, I just bought it. I am quite curious how this will go in standard tuning. I have no played standard tuning in probably 3 years due to all the math rock playing
Hello! The workshop is separated into three parts: Part 1: commonly used chords, and some practice patterns of accent in a few different time signatures to practice moving between shapes Part 2: learn three song ideas ranging in difficulty Gulfer: Heatwave tricot: POOL CHON: Sleepy Tea Part 3: Functional chord progressions for song writing and practice those to some functional strumming patterns (2 strumming patterns for each chord progression) Hope that helps!
Hello Steve, I brought one of your courses when you had a deal a few months ago, I had PayPal issues and couldn’t find the video again to see if you responded. Please let me know what I should do. Thanks

for a minute i thought he wanted to say he would quit 😂
not jumping on that trend haha
Do the steal this mathrock band’s style for the speed of sound in seawater. Specifically the blue version album!

I’m just wanting to learn basic chord changes. Would this workshop help?
Thanks Steve, I just bought it. I am quite curious how this will go in standard tuning. I have no played standard tuning in probably 3 years due to all the math rock playing
Thanks! It should be fairly straightforward. I have plans to make more workshops on a beginner FACGCE and DAEAC#E style workshop too!
Based

Hello! The workshop is separated into three parts:
Part 1: commonly used chords, and some practice patterns of accent in a few different time signatures to practice moving between shapes
Part 2: learn three song ideas ranging in difficulty
Gulfer: Heatwave
tricot: POOL
CHON: Sleepy Tea
Part 3: Functional chord progressions for song writing and practice those to some functional strumming patterns (2 strumming patterns for each chord progression)
Hope that helps!
