I love this and used to have it cut similar over many years, and it really suits me. Ironically, the first time I did this I gave myself a perfect accidental shag mullet, but soft and beautifully textured (impulsivity is my best friend). I now cut my hair myself and haven't been to a hair salon in over two years! I always give myself a shag mullet as it suits me a lot and I never have to style it whatsoever (thick hair, natural volume). Sometimes I accidentally chuck in a half fringe too >.< It's always so much fun and I'm loving all the recent variations of it since shag mullets became popular again. ... I'm slowly starting to think about using a buzz cutter to shave the sides too O_O

I have curly hair too and I always ask for layers to my hairdresser, it helps to give my hair more volume. So I do recommend it but ig it depends more on the type of curls u have and what look are you going for
