    Tannehill was not in the right system in Miami but in Tennessee he fits the role almost like a glove. Marcus Mariota is still a good Quarterback but doesn't fit in the Titans system. Mariota needs to go somewhere where he can be productive and show his skills.

      They ran a ton to RPO to accommodate Mariota. I don’t know what other system you’d want for him. They spent a ton of money on the O-Line and Receivers. He’s a great kid but they did try to make a system around him. At somepoint Marcus needs to take some blame too. I do feel the constant coaching changes likely hurt him as did his injuries. I hope Pats sign Brady for two more years and take Marcus to tutor under him and Belichick. I think if they can put him under a good veteran to help fix a few of his deficiencies like outside and downfield passing and holding the ball way too long. He’s young enough where he can still get his career back on the rails.

    Tannehill never played poor in Miami - thats wrong. They traded him away cause he would win those 7-9 games no matter how trash his teams were. He had a stupid good winning record when playing behind the so called unicorn oline...14-2-ish good - but Pouncey & Co couldnt stay healthy, had a consistent running game for a total of 5 seconds and was throwing behind the worst oline to the worst receiving corps constantly. Basically all the critism around him has been mythbusted 1) cant throw deep 2) 3rd down woes 3) cant score in the red zone 4) isnt liked and respected among players (grimes) - the Dolphins programm is just a total mess and they would find a way to mess up Mahomes. PS: he didnt tear his ACL twice..... calais campbell blew out his knee by going low into his planted foot, doctors told him to get stem cell therapy instead of surgery - which he did, the following training camp the knee didnt hold up and tore again. the injury prone label is total BS - hes a total warrior dude took a beating and always got straight up. the amount of shots and big hits he took was unreal. Titans got a keeper

    Overstated by an outside fan analysis point of view. The Titans were horrific BEFORE 2016 during Mariota's rookie season, but comparing numbers to numbers, looking around the entire league during that time period QB rookie wise and considering the state of the franchise - Mariota had a very promising half-season to start off his career and games where he truly did some special things. Mike Mularkey, the once horrific NFL head coach turned this entire franchise around and rebuilt the team from within, along with rookie GM Jon Robinson since 2016. Most every outsider only looks into certain franchises when enough noise is made in January and passing yards offensively begin to bar at the same level as the stratosphere Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. Vrabel inherited a divisional round contender with Pro Bowl players and Derrick Henry. A first year defensive coordinator in Houston who couldn't field a top 10 defense has also clearly shown just how bad he is in calling defenses especially this year even at 9-4 - having taken over the play calling duties since the departure of Dean Pees. Letting Mariota go will eventually come back and bite this franchise in the ass, regardless of what happens this year and beyond. What's even more pathetic, is the fact that they could've had the best franchise backup in the league for the most budgeted price tag at 26 along with the same future they once drafted as that future for years to come.

    I wouldn’t say “poor play” is the reason he got traded. The man was a good QB and led a horrific dolphins roster to a 7-9 season. It baffled me when they traded him. It was his injuries that killed his time in Miami. He lead the dolphins to the playoffs once but got injured so Matt Moore had to play...steelers just dominated that game

      Also Tannehill has taken way worse hits than the one by Sorenson, he consistently had the 32nd ranked OL in Miami

    I’m not a Dolphins fan and as a Bills fan we all hate Miami, but with shitty coaching and management in Miami they basically destroy all of their high draft picks and just trade good players away for scraps. Now that Brian Flores is the head coach that team completely turned it around when they benched Josh Rosen for Fitzmagic. Imagine if Tannehill had Flores as a head coach with a little talent around him I think he would be outstanding. This guy definitely deserves the comeback player of the year award.

  • @rodneymercado7195
    @rodneymercado7195 4 года назад +3

    Are you serious about his first NFL game? The O-line couldn't protect him, that has been Miami's problem since Marino retired. His 3 INTS were all due to tips because of his dumb linemen not attacking and allowing the Texan D-line to just jump up and tip balls. And he was never considered a bust No O-line, garbage coaches, barely a supporting cast, and inconsistent defense - Tannehill wasn't the problem but they got rid of him because Chris Grier is an idiot and wants to put together a team of his guys since Ross made him GM. Furthermore, the ACL injury was the same injury that caused him to miss the playoffs the year before - it never healed because Tannehill was poorly advised and was given a false clean slate of health.
    As far as Tannehill himself, he showed he was capable of playing the way he is right now, he just never did it consistently because of what I previously mentioned with poor coaches and supporting cast. As far as help he's received in Tennessee, it is actually the OTHER way around. Henry was only averaging 70 yards a game with 4 rushing TDs in 6 games before Tannehill became the starter. And aside from the game against the Browns and the Falcons, Brown was pretty much a non-factor. Tannehill's presence and play opened up the running game for Henry and after a little chemistry building, Brown's numbers, along with Henry's skyrocketed. It is no coincidence that their numbers improved dramatically once Tannehill became the starter. Tannehill has always been a good QB and now that he actually has a competent coaching staff, an O-line, and a good supporting cast around him he is getting a chance to show consistently what the smart fans have always known, Tannehill is a top 10 QB.

      @rickyhousewright5588 4 года назад +3

      Completely agree, people want to give Henry all the credit for this season, but Ryan made it all possible...If it was all Henry then it would have happen with Mariota at QB too, but teams knew Marcus couldn't beat them passing so they focused on stopping Derrick, with Ryan that's not the case, I hope we open the playbook and turn Ryan loose this week against KC, just to shut the Tannehill haters up :)

    • @rodneymercado7195
      @rodneymercado7195 4 года назад +1

      @@rickyhousewright5588 exactly! People act like Tannehill can't throw because of the yards he has put in the playoffs but if you think about last he had 2 dropped TD passes and both were in his receivers hands. If those catches end up being made Tannehill's stats would be about 115 yards 4 TDs passing and 1 rushing TD - THOSE are fantastic numbers and production - who cares about the amount of yards when you don't score enough to win? I'm sure Lamar Jackson would trade in his 365 yards from last week for 90 passing yards and 60 rushing yards along with 5 TDs.

      Truevillany definitely not Wentz, his team has never gotten worse when he is injured. If he had true MVP-level value his team wouldn’t improve without him.
      And Thomas? I don’t even know which Thomas you’re talking about, but I do that there wasn’t a single Thomas who was even close to as valuable as Tannehill. Dalvin cook was also nowhere close to MVP but he at least is more valuable than whatever Thomas you speaking of

    After your video, Tannehill was never bad he was just injury prone towards the end of his Miami tenure. The issue Miami had wasn't Tannehill it was the inability to build around him. Offensive line has mostly been below average, the receiver core was solid but never been great. Jarvis was great with Tannehill but they trade him cause Parker was showing a lot of promise. The Dolphins never had a good rushing game either so they passed like hell similar to that of the 2012 Cowboys season.
    Tanehill didnt revive his career he just got the right team.
    There are so many unfortunate QBs who get tossed away due to their teams not building around them or just giving up on them. 2 examples: Tony Romo and Josh Rosen. In Romo's case there wasn't much of a team built around him. After his back to back playoff appearances the team was never consistent. Romo would always put up impressive numbers even when Jerry got Roy Williams and got rid of Terrell Owens (biggest mistake Jerry has ever made) so Dallas offense played worse but still at a good level but Defense was never there. 2 HC who were not great in Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett. Romo was subject to wasted talent on the greatest franchise in sports history.
    In Josh Rosen's case he was thrown away cause of one thing, someone who looks better. Rosen didnt have a great rookie season but how can anyone? Murray had a better team than Rosen and did slightly better. Now Murray is a better QB I wont question it but Rosen was unfairly thrown away when his potential was there. Now Miami could build around him but he was traded to a team worse than his former team and they only won cause Fitzmagic is solid for the most part. Rosen is an example of an unfair QB thrown away.
