I'm not surprised by the portraits. They've missed a lot of the portraits when they get to their smaller scale items. Their dinosaurs usually look pretty decent. I agree with everything you said. Getting it for that sale price makes it worth getting. It always comes down to the same thing I tell absolutely everybody that mentions iron Studios. I think they have the best of intentions, and they come up with great concepts but they never really hit anything out of the park. Now that they've taken on even more properties I can't imagine their quality getting any better.

This was an awesome movie and that scene is spot on. It's a 2 steps back statue just for the characters. This was a great movie to see for are time it looked real, it was a wow movie

This statue would be a 10 with a breathing plug in aspect. Belly plus Grant flexing with it the piece would put it over the top. Great review Mr X..

Yea I’m usually not interested in the least with dinosaur statues, but this being a scene from the movie does appeal to me a little more. Because I remember when that movie was released it was the most amazing movie ever, it was the first movie with really good CGI.
Gonna have to tune in for the new room tour vid, I'm pretty curious to see if this Triceratops really is 40% larger compared to that P1 T-Rex

The captured scene from what for me is the best Jurassic Park movie is super cool overall, I think the statue looks great😎 looking at the portraits well for that I feel it speaks to the mixed results of Iron Studios again. If those head sculpt were better this would be a 5 out 5 statue for me, it's like you can hear the epic music from the film from looking at it 🤩🙌

The Dinosaur and the base look to close in color and can’t really distinct the base front the triceratops in my opinions. Still, it’s a neat little statue. Nostalgic in a sense and not overly done or over the top. Perfect for a simple collector

I picked up a few 1/10 marvel pieces in the Iron Studios black Friday sale as well. Prices were way too good to pass up. I totally agree with you on the portraits here...Dr. Grant looks more like Mr. Bean.

I was very close to picking this up only because the sale price was so good. Otherwise I was never drawn to this piece. Btw, the book goes in Tim’s hand. Also the vets name is Dr. Harding, played by Jurassic Park producer Gerald Molen. Can’t wait to see your trike comparison.

Love this scene from the movie. Just like most movie series, the first was the best.
Great piece for the reason it tells a story. She was pointing the light at his eye though. The base could of been a bit greener, the fact that the dinosaur got sick from eating a plant. This movie will always hold up. And the music really takes you back while looking at this one. Great review. But yeah they look like crap but from a distance they don’t look bad. And Bane 1/3 arkham from p1 I got for like 250 out the door with points and it was on sale.

The prime 1 JP pieces seem to just look higher quality. But this scene is iconic, but for a sale price it's probably well worth it.
I loved mine back a couple of months ago. It is definitely not worth the 900 price tag but it is a great piece for what you paid for it
Woo hoo, looking forward to the room tour. The dinosaurs face looks amazing, i totally agree those character portraits do not look great and Dr. Alan Grant looks weird resting on the dinosaur. I just picked up sideshows premium format Cable for $506 dollars total and free delivery. It is not the exclusive with the deadpool hand coming out of the portal but for that price i was happy.

Its like the Sentinels right… the base rock is flat and needs so much more texture, but the focus is on the robots. The scale I am sure is pretty difficult to work with. Good review.

That was my favorite dinosaur when I was a kid. I could't wait to see him kicking ass in the movie back in 1993. Then when I seen him on the big screen he was sick and dying. The bastards took it away from me. My dream of seeing three horns plunging into the belly of a T-Rex. So it was back to the Land of the Lost for me. F'n Slee Stacks man.....F'n Slee Stacks.

Hearing that music during the assembly brought back so many memories. It's a cool piece and I don't think the portraits are that bad expect for Allan fuck they missed the mark big time.

Agree on every point. It is a good rotating statue however, if you’re going to pose it in 1 side: it becomes confusing. I really want to see the T-Rex Rotunda if you have one or ordered it
I don’t. For the same reasons. Wouldn’t scale well with the other pieces.
@@TheXtremeChannelMrX that Prime 1 piece is the only Jurassic Park piece that is on my wishlist. The next Prime 1 Two Rexes Eddie Carr in The Lost World would probably be awesome too

I kinda feel you were a bit harsh on the characters, though it is your Statue haha. Like for example, throughout the entire review you can barely see any of their faces because of their stances and position of the Statue looking at it straight on, or almost any angle. Especially at a distance etc. Very surprised this wasn't at least a 4/5, just seemed odd haha. For the characters you even said their bodies and cloths and skin looked good etc. I just feel like the portraits for the human characters of this piece are not the point of the statue, especially since when looking directly at the statue from the front were the nameplate is you can barely see any of their faces (which is on purpose etc). Thats just my take of course etc haha..

I think I”m judging based off previous I.S. 1/10 where they knocked the portraits out of the park.
The dinosaur looks cool and accurate to the movie, unlike the characters.

I am a huge Jurassic Park/World fan, but I didnt like the statue and your review reflects why. Hope you hit your milestones.
They found fresh dinosaur eggs in China recently, so I'm sure that a 1 to 1 scale real-life version is coming soon...it's probably in a shipping crate in the LA harbor 😂😂😂👏

It's an iconic scene from the movie, makes up for the lousy figures.
Iron Studio should’ve included the blood sucking lawyer and Malcom as an exclusive. I also saw the first one in the theatres when it first came out. Recently watched the first 3. Still not a fan of the third one.

I just looked this up on their website. they definitely did some deceiving. I guess they get away with it by saying that final product may look different. The version of Alan actually looks a lot like him in the preview photos. Even the other people are more decent. I’m very picky specially when it’s something pricey. And they know it’s a pain in the ass to ship for refund etc. just my pointless comment lol.

A cool idea and concept, but sadly this didn't hit the mark IMHO. IS used to be great at likenesses in 1/10... recently they've been really hit or miss. And once again, that over inflated IS pricing rears its ugly head.
