  • Sinus augmentation can be an effective treatment option for the placement of dental implants in the maxilla, where the low level of the sinus cavity and lack of host bone presents complications.
    During this presentation, Dr Andrew Fish (UK) will be discussing his experience with EthOss bone grafting material in sinus augmentation. The webinar will include numerous clinical cases from the speaker using both horizontal and vertical sinus augmentation techniques.
    The discussion will focus on:
    • Recommended treatment protocols
    • When to place the implant - simultaneous with grafting or delayed?
    • Using EthOss in the sinus - mixing, placement and results
    • Challenges and solutions in sinus grafts
    • Post-operative management, medication and patient guidance
    Biography of the speaker:
    Mr. Andrew T. Fish BDS(Glas) MFDS RCS(Edin) PGCertImp(Salford)
    Dentist with a special interest in oral surgery and dental implants, Bracken & Barrett, St. Helier, Jersey.
    Hon. Senior Clinical Lecturer in Oral Surgery and Implantology, Edge Hill University.
    Affiliate and Mentor at Implant Centres of Excellence, Salford Quays, Manchester.
    Andrew graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2006. He went on to do a two year speciality training programme at the Edinburgh Dental Institute, which involved rotations between different dental specialities and during this time he passed his MFDS examination and became a member of the Royal College of
    Surgeons.
    After GPT he worked as a member of the West of Scotland Oral and Maxillofacial team for two years. He continued within the speciality for a further three years in the North West of England. He was appointed a Specialty Dentist in Oral Surgery and Restorative Dentistry at Manchester Dental Hospital in 2012.
    He has been involved with dental implants since his GPT years and in addition to his hospital based hands on training, Andrew is an elected member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons and the Association of Dental Implantology.
