    Classic is always good but once you have the circular one it is so good. Also classic in combination with harai goshi is something to be wary of. A well as o-uchi into ko-uchi gari.
    So to summarize, o-uchi is a technique and has many use cases

    I'd have to disagree with the classic Ouchi Gari.
    The classic Ouchi, you look over the same shoulder as the sweeping leg, in this as he is attaching the Uke's left leg he would look over Uke's left shoulder.
    The way he is doing it is actually more practical, as it is easy to combine with the Kouchi Gari.
    You can also hook in with the first version and drive your weight straight downward, but you can get caught in full guard with this.
    Good demo though.

      @edu_triple  Месяц назад +1

      The problem with your variation is that it is easier to counter. Therefore I prefer the variation in the video.

    • @endurojimmy3109
      @endurojimmy3109 Месяц назад

      @edu_triple Yes I agree , but I was pointing that this is not the classic version.
      I I said if you read my comment properly, the version shown is better as you can use Kouchi in combination, and yes, it is harder to counter, but it is not the classic version.
      I started Judo in the mid 70s, so I have seen many variations of throws.

      I don't do judo but wrestling and bjj which are like cousins and the most important thing is the push pull concept you push them till you feel them push back is one of the best set ups also set ups in general find what works try a lot of stuff at the start don't give up on stuff and don't look at achieving the belt there's a lot of black belts but not too many crazy good judokas

      Just gotta keep grinding, just have to be better than yesterday. I was never that bothered about competitions or gradings, I just liked training, don't be discouraged, if you love Judo and give it your all you'll be a black belt before too long.

      @steve_l6571 Look to develop your grip strength & fighting for the dominant grip, much easier to throw when you can get the better grip & break your opponent's grip if you need to.

      @jimmynich4791 For grip,I go to gym and I include excercises that strengthen the grip like lat pulldowns with no straps and pull ups, thank you for the tips

    Your easiest and hardest are flip flopped for me. I've ruptured both of my Achilles so most "hopping" just doesn't do it for me. Not on one leg with forward movement anyway.

      In reality, the big moves of mma you see would hardly be imitated by an ordinary joe just coz of lack of basic strength training and stamina, just take a look at take down videos of road rage, how they keep panting after a bout of 20 seconds.
      Now change perspective and imagine a concrete floor or road, the damage from such a fall or takedown by these techniques. Easy, efficient and sometimes lethal.

    • @jussijuntunen2482
      @jussijuntunen2482 13 дней назад

      It is Judo, but yes, Judo is jiu jitsu.
      Jiu jitsu is common name for subset of various (originally)Japanese martial arts. So it is not one style. You can say that Judo is Jigoro Kano's style of Jiu jitsu.
