Abaddon had always been my favorite member of Venom, is kind of drumming is legendary. He is also a very nice guy and has the best sense of humor out of the three.
Met Abaddon a couple of times... once in Lawrence KS and then in Kansas City. He couldn't have been any nicer. Took pictures with my buddy and got the whole band to sign my Venom INC. CD...Totally cool dude...much respect!
I hope that infant wasn’t apart of any sacrificial rites after the interview….kidding. Adorable child. Great interview too. Crazy how Venom really did no gigs those first few years and Hammersmith was indeed their first London show.
I'm 56 now I grew up with Venom. As a young lad I always had the impression that Abaddon acted the silly guy just for the sake of it. Always a tad over the top and always drunk. Later on I realized that his follies were based on true, sincere wit and that he was genuinely clever and likeable. Nowadays I find him to be truely wholesome (to quote my kids) and down to earth. Seems like that one guy of the bunch with the most intact moral compass finally got out of that ugly, grinding business that Venom became and got peace of mind and the joys of fatherhood in reward. Cheers to Abaddon, hero of my youth and neighbor I would like to have.
Sad to hear that Abaddon was let go from Venom INC. On the other hand, congratulations for your new-born baby Abaddon!
