Outstanding shooting!!! The GEW 1888 is still a better rifle than the French Army Lebel or Berthier because of how fast a soldier can load it. I can see your service cap has the light green trim meaning you are a Jaeger infantryman meaning an above average rifleman than the Landser Reservist or regular Imperial German Army infantryman. Jaeger Regiments is the German Army's light infantry usually employed to move forward to find and fix the enemy and engage and hold or to harass them until the main body of infantry gets there to engage. The Jaegers were also flank security for any army on the move. Only the best physically fit men and best marksmen are qualified to be Jaegers or Mountain Infantrymen in the Imperial German Army. Majority are country boys from Bavaria or many rural provinces of Germany.

Hello Pavol, my Gew 1888 is "S" modified but still uses the Mannlicher style clip. I have shot this rifle before with S type bullets. I prefer casting and shooting cast round nose or flat nosed bullets. My favorite jacketed bullet for the Gew 1888 was the 175 grain Privi-Partizan bullet.
