However, what Nigerians deserve at this point is result driven projects and renewed hope that will turn around the fortunes of the citizens. Let's just think about it, why should the wealthiest man in Nigeria (Dangote), always be involved in the largest projects in every successive govt? If he's the man that can deliver the refinery that successive govts & and the private sector could not build or reinstate in 60 yrs, then so be it. @@johnodejobi2627really? Lol
Never.
@@TruthSeeker19908on what grounds, so if I mentioned your name ad a thief, do we ask you to resign outrightly
@@k.afolabi6354 so you don’t think it’s a conflict of interest when your colleague pays a huge sum of money to a company that formally belongs to you (where you are still a stakeholder)? I personally am not asking he retires, but it’s really not an absurd request. Pending investigation, that’s a very exorbitant cost for a “humanitarian” ministry. Most Nigerians will not want a humanitarian ministry if this is how much they’re paying for “consultation”.
This is a case of owning a company with a deniability of attracting inflated government contract.
very true he runs it in the background
If he really wanted to remove himself from the allegations, he just needed to tell the Ministry of Humanitarian affairs to show transparency of the bidding process that was used to assign the contract...
We all know he profited from the contracts as he's done this several times in Lagos already. Just go to Oshodi and see the metal bus stop
It doesn’t prohibit it. But it’s a conflict of interest you dull minister. You want to do what el-rufai did with power contracts in kd
but his wife is the sole director and he and his wife are there share holders... they think we are idiots
Padi padi govt
You are doing well minister
You dey whine yourself nor be us 😂
imagine handover to his wife which he share the same bed room
Shareholders tend not to have any say or influence in the day-to-day running of a company. That responsibility falls to the board of directors and the internal management structure of the company, so stop involving the man. Even if he lobbies, it's still part of business, and everyone running a business must lobby to get a contract.
It seems u don't know how corporation works. It is shareholders that appoint directors of board, even if a shareholder is not in charge of day to day but by their control of the board of directors, they can indirectly control the ceo and other executives who run day to day operation. If he controls 100% shares of the company then he appointed all board of directors who appoints the executives. Likewise if he has majority share he will control majority of the board.
Mark Zuckerberg of meta owes 56% of of the shares as so controls appointing of 56% voting power in the board by his appoints thats why he can do anything and no one can fire him
If he has majority of the company 's shares, definitely he controls the company affairs despite not being the present director of the company I. quote.
@@mikeplaine1686 That doesnt matter. Influence or no influence, who wants to run a business and not want to gain? You also will lobby for contract if u sabi people for up. That is business, Business people are not soft people. You want to tell me that if anyone will be arrested, He personally will be arrested with the director of the company?

@@jayjohnson4457 i hope u r bot bcos if u r real I am troubled with our educational system why someone who is learned don't know why a minister who has such relationship to a company will be considered bias, compromise, conflict of interest to have his own company run contract of his ministry
Lobatan
Seun, you have to be very careful, the minister said you were with him over the weekend. Why is it that our people don't have conscience again? I feel so sad for Nigeria.
You in particular! You would award yourself a contract.
So he cannot go there and do his job as a journalist? On what basis did you think he was there?
Sheun should get one of the directors to come and tell the world the truth
😂😂😂😂😂😂I resigned from the job and handed over to my WIFE 😂😂😂😂
There is nothing in the world more shameful than establishing, One’s self on lies and fables .
This is really commendable and welcome development
LAIR , you are a shareholder, you are receive alert. 😂😂😂
Abeg when are we getting our peculiar allowance.?
Chai this country self hmmmmmm
When I saw the Res at first I thought resign that is strange in Nigerian stay put die in office noooo then I saw respond Lord have mercy
You and your wife are the founder... U resigned and put ur wife as director in ur interest... And the company got the contract because ur minister... Resign please
Consultancy is another form of embezzlement, what are they consulting
Interior minister coming to defend himself on the media, dose the president know about the situation, we keep doing the wrong things in country
Chai e don happen, I dey see danger, see danger, wahala dey, wahala dey😂😂
Your hands are stained but you doing a good job finish the work in two months and honorably resign
Those of us that applied for renewal of international passport in London since October are yet to get it
This minister has proven to be a true patriot from the progress made by his ministry so far. This simply tells us he's a competent technocrat that would most likely have set up a reputable company over the years. He duly resigned as required by law, and perhaps the affiliated company was the most competent to win the bid for the contract. I must confess this is a stain on him to consider going forward. The minister has learnt a lesson here, and hope we can all agree that nobody is perfect.
The man is right
Mr Ojo, that you resigned from the company and your wife is the MD, doesn’t mean that the company doesn’t belong to you. This man is hiding under one of his fingers, trying to use logic, semantics and technicality to whitewash his complicity. Remember that shareholders own companies not directors
He never denied owning the company and you cannot wind down a company because you resigned to take up a public appointment. He has done what is required by law at best and the company will not be stopped from bidding for a contract on account of him being a Minister.
This country is finished
Technically and legally your argument is right, however it is morally wrong.
There's a conflict of interest issue here.
Should this standard be applied across the entire cabinet, I doubt if a single person would survive.
Let us kuku sell Nigeria and share the money at this point
I will come back to Nigeria to collect my share!
Seun is so docile
Smart guy😂 oga you follow chop the money 😂 I understand you're doing a great job in your ministry but you can honorably resign sighting ignorance of the contract
I make una leave our Minister alone.
A lair in the suit. Look how his suit works contrary to his hand gestures. And the man's voice struggles to catch-up with gestures.
This man takes Nigerians for a fool . That he resigned his directorship and he is yet is a shareholder means that he is a beneficiary. Therefore a beneficiary by proxy.
Diabolical greed. They are sharing contracts among themselves in addition to their salaries and allowances
But you own shares? How many? 10 out of 1,000,000 or 900,000 out of 1,000,000. Politicians think we're fools. Barawo.
Resigning as the Director of the Company, does not mean that the company is nolonger yours.
And that doesn't mean that, you don't use your office, to secure jobs for the Company, as alleged.
We are Nigerians, and We are not deceived.
Seun and asking irrelevant questions. He has told you he is not part of running the company, even said the real question is if the contract award and execution followed due process, and you are still asking him if he will be willing to return money assuming he was head of the company.
Thieves every where...see his mouth
They will not honor arise TV invitation when it comes to this kind of matter. They only go there when they want to hypocritically publicise a project.
Why certified copy, a document that’s only 5 years why not present the original document 😢
If it was a non issue
You would not come to channels to defend yourself
This is not an excuse. The wife runs the company and they are one. He is lying, does he think Nigerians are illiterates . He just want to try to cover himself. If your wife bidded for a job, does he want to say he has no clue of what was going on. So he doesn't know what the company he opened was doing. Dubious Nigerian citizens will continually be disgraced with social media. They should now know that whatever they do in secret someone is there to expose them.
But he is dodging question. The simple question is, do you have knowledge of the deal with humanitarian affairs. Yes or no!
This man was the chairman of NDDC committee in the house of resp. That was the man that made his members to shout " off the mic " when the then minister of NDDC , God'swill Akpabio fingered him in the corruption of NDDC
You are already defending the company, you will go to jail too.
Bunmi we know what up brother. 😂
Return Subsidy. Nigerians should not be fooled. All these stolen money is subsidy money
He's just another smart thief 😊
God will help us in this nation. Why all these?
He will explain...😂
There is Conflict of interest 😂
Was there any dissolution...?
Tell that to the birds
who are you fooling? your kids? nonsense when your wife is the current director whose interest
It's a pity, they is no true from this man.
Tell FG to pay her workers good wages and forget about this "humanitarian" pretense.
