@@kristofferljungberg5057 doesnt seem too crazy to me , my top speed while skiing was i believe 92km/h so i can see how he got it. Also hard to imagine why he would lie about the speed no?
Even though it’s steep, black runs in my country are graded based on difficulty. There was not a bump in sight on that groomer. My home mountain has blue runs steeper than that.
Is home America, home of the “It’s got to be mogulled to be hard!” Come to France there are really steep blacks with no moguls and a lot more fun and scary than those mogul pistes
In Canada it is similar we would call that a blue for sure. The blacks we have can be easy but never are they groomed if they were like this i would go straight down on my skis.
One of the few that actually think so and are correct. That's flying and must be pretty steep to get going that fast. I've been up to 67 and was my limit. That's a tremendous amount of leg strength and guts.
I reached 87km/h (a personal record I think) and than caught an edge. Been a month and my neck still hurts. I didn’t reach a 100 which was my goal, still, it was worth it
For the Americans, he reached _65 miles per hour,_ which might not sound like a lot to some of us with heavier foots, but I can fucking assure you, it's a lot when you're doing it solely through the power of gravity
Even if the haters are right that it's not steep and not that fast, you should still be stoked. Anyone who is stoked about what they did should receive the same energy. No matter where your skill level is at, if you're pushin yourself you're a legend in my book.
I loved doing this in my resort. We have a slope which you can take straight ( but there is a huge turn at the end). I reach 106km/h on it, my board shaked so much
Yeah that’s fast! The fastest I’ve ever recorded was 74, I’ve probably been faster but not much, I’d say 80 is probably about the fastest I’d go, I’ve been snowboarding for like 25 years
I've hit 58 mph (Garmin GPS watch) on my board going flat out in Vermont, so kinda steep but not really steep... I went out to the West Coast the next year for some riding and forgot my watch! I was so worried about not packing my snowboard and stuff but forgot my gopro and watch lol oh well
120kmh is roughly 75mph…. Absolutely BOMBING IT… I hit 40mph as a 3 years of experience boarder in my 40’s… felt like I was breaking the sound barrier 😂😂😂
Spent some time in Japan recently bombing down their reds and tended to hit terminal velocity at much lower speeds than this vid. You don't get to 120 that quickly on a run if it isn't steep.
I've been off this slope myself and these speeds are really possible (its km/h) this is as you can see the 21 in the Ischgl area in Austria on the border with Switzerland Samnaun which you can access with the same pass since bothe areas are connected
i went on a black run once, hit some ice at the top and fell forwards, the continued down the entire slop on my face, I was laughing all the way down, was highly amusing for some reason. Its like that was my way to go down it.
That on a fucking snowboard, goddamn brother. My Max on skis so far was 120kmh, but on a snowboard its just 60kmh. Given I have only stood on a board for 5 days so far, but in those I already noticed how much harder speed is on it, compared to my skis. 🤘
I live in Utah and we have a different difficulty system, a run like this would probably be a blue (second easiest) since the only difficulty factor is that it’s steep (somewhat) it doesn’t have any moguls, steep snow, and unpredictable terrain and trees. Since we have a lot more runs and areas our runs average a lot different so a black for you is more like a blue for most people from where I’m from.
We also have a shape system so instead of just colors although we don’t usually say the shape they are referred to as black diamonds and they go all the way up to triple black diamond difficulty which are runs that are usually never open due to not being groomed, avalanched with snow and are extremely steep and hard, but some are a little overrated and not as difficult as they seem.
I ski, not particularly heavy (52 kg), fastest I have gone was 102 km/h and my skis started vibrating in such a scary way I had to brake... 114 km/h must be awesome

Ya bro I’ve got down some messed up stuff on a bike and it looks like the steepness of a staircase
No kidding, seen some mountain biking ones where it even looks like they’re going uphill. It’s a little trippy

yeah surfing too

I have wiped out at 60 after catching an edge on skiis. Wasn't bad, just the 200 feet climb back to get my skiis and poles lol.

Same at home. Blacks are not groomed and therefore are full of bumps. So even if it’s super steep, it would have been a red

72 mph 🤯👀 yeah that’s crazy! Haha the snowboards pick up so much speed I just got into it this season and I used to get scared when going fast 🤣🤣

Yeah going down a black straight on is absolutely INSANE. I get nervous doing this on a green/blue, can’t imagine doing it on a black run.
Looks like Ischgl, probably my favourite black run in that resort. Can confirm you'd easily hit those speeds straight-lining it.
