If they added more animals, and monsters (of the Lovecraft variety) I would definitely do the same. The Grifters (aside from their name) aren't very cool, and are sorta complete jokes. If they just added at least like...2-3 more monsters that fit with their Lovecraft style, that would be perfect.
@@Crispifordthe3rd515 im a massive darkest dungeon fan, i kind of imagine (one day) walking through similar corrupted biomes defending myself from the horrors
@@Crispifordthe3rd515If you're only fighting the surface or deep drifters, they're pretty trivial. But the nightmare and double headed drifters are pretty beefy. They can chunk you pretty hard even in Iron plate. The game is still being developed, so I'm sure there will be more Lovecraft style mobs added. (In the meantime, world customization is crazy. Turn drifter damage to 300 or 400% and you'll be evading them more than you fight em.)
You know, it'd actually be cool that the goal of the game is to kill that thing. But if you aren't ready for it, you are lunch, so it's a good reason for players to avoid going insane and build up their arsenal.
@@TarsonTalon It looks smaller in the vid than it is in game, so I'd wager that this thing could become both a explorable place, and boss fight rolled into one, like you're traversing inside the thing looking for and breaking the components that allow it to operate.
@@Crispifordthe3rd515 I can see that thing becoming more of a puzzle boss, but that thing isn't going to remain as just a visual during a temporal storm.
@@TarsonTalon my money is on the longer you play a world the less stable it becomes until bigger and deadlier creatures appear and for the endgame the other realm completely combines with this one and you have to kill the machine to save the world.
everyone calls him Dave, but supposedly -(haven't checked myself)- in the game files that is the "thunder warden" just checked myself, searched "thunder" in the files, and "thunderlord" pops up as a json file, in a folder called "supermech"
The sounds you're hearing, I have strong, strong evidence to be the sounds of the gears grinding against one another as they turn, the rust making them squeak as they rotate.
I had this at a moment being out while it happened i saw the creature and was like hmmmmmmm OKAY IM CHASING AFTER IT and i just died from the drifters .-.
me and my buds have taken to call that thing god in our tribal society.
So obviously you expose yourself to rifts as much as possible as to worship him better right? All hail Dave!

if this game focuses a little harder on the lovecraftian side I'll definitely buy it
it does pretty well. its got that great feeling of a hidden Lovecraftian horror behind a seemingly semi peaceful world.

oh shit it’s the *TIME GIRAFFE*
I have a feeling that thing's not going to remain just a creepy visual...just my two cents

Combat is ass in this game, so unlikely. But it would be incredibly cool.

Thanks for post mate! I've been looking for a way to find more about this creature
This thing reminds me of the great runas from the ENA temptation stairway video
Right? I thought the same thing! Gotta climb the thing to get my wish!
WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?! 💀😢 Now I will get shivers whener temporal stability goes low and think the low pitch noises are from them.
I want to imagine that the "honking" from the rifts is Dave calling to us. I'm not ready to be consumed yet.

This is definitely a reference to "Made in Abyss"
