Hi Corinna and Glen! I’m so happy that you did this for this little guy/girl. Don’t worry if the cats don’t get along at first. If it keeps happening, wet a rag with vinegar vinegar and water and wipe the cats down with that. That gets rid of their own scents for a little while and they will all smell the same. They think they’re all from the same group of kitties. It really does help if needed and it’s very gentle.
I love that you guys are "lifers" with your furbabies. They sure make our lifes and theirs so much better.

His ear is clipped,most likely been fixed. Probably a catch and release program.They pick up mothers and kittens,fix them and put them back into the same area.I also have a cat and a pom-chi,they are best buddies.

So happy for Patches, the new addition to your family. I am glad he found you all and has joined the crew! A new pet is a huge responsibility. We had a gray tabby for years that must have been part of a catch and release program. His ear was clipped and he had been neutered. His name was "Tab." I know, so original! 😁 Anyway, Tab was a member of our family for 14 years before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We cannot turn our back on strays. We have either found homes or taken them in ourselves. And they are always indoors. Since we no longer live in the country, we have not had any strays in the last four years. I am so glad you are feeling better and that Glen is doing well. Thank you for sharing!

Awww Corinna,what a cutie...you& Glen love your furbabies❤.I had no idea your other 2 cats were that old. Now Gypsy has a buddy.Gypsy is a great dog to accept patches..but animals have a 6th sense,like humans. Great food pantrys we never get ground beef. So happy for you.🤗🦜🌴

The cat is beautiful. So glad you took him in and he is safe and happy living a good life. My husband and I are the same - we worry about Tuesday abandon animals. We live out in the country and people leave off dogs and cats all the time. Hard to keep up with vet bills sometimes. My favorite cat is 17 and she is queen of the house. We named her Missy Q. Because she is boss.
Thank you so much Mary, Patches now realizes that he has the good life now. It's so heartbreaking to see abandoned animals, I pray for them everyday. Our queen cat was named Kit Kat but she has passed on now.

I think Patches is good for Gypsi. Someone to fit his energy to have fun with. He’s awful cute. I have a small home and two big dogs and an autistic son. We thought no more room and one night in the pouring rain last winter I heard crying at the window and there was a pitiful wet female dog. Lord knows we don’t need the extra mouth to feed and she has to be part Great Dane cause she’s huge but I felt horrible for her and she chose us. We love her now.

Have the vet scan for a micro chip. My cats never have collars because they like to go outside. My newest cat a 9 month old kitten is micro chipped. You find the money somewhere.My 14 years old was diabetic for 4 years. The kitten hurt his back leg. And needed an operation on it. Pain meds for 2 1/2 meds. It put me in the hole for the next 5 months. But that's what we do for our pets.
You are right, whatever it takes to take care of our furbabies because they mean everything to us.
So happy for you and the new kitty, and the whole family !! I have 2 cats that I found the same way. Just wandering around my yard.
Winter was coming and I was heart broken just thinking about them having to be out side in such cold...........they are old now but they became inside cats....they do enjoy getting some sun by sitting in the opend windows in the spring and summer. We have screens on the windows, but they just love to watch the birds....it makes them happy......

In the summer a good sandwich is all you need.
That is so true Pamela, when it's hot I don't always have a heavy appetite.
I make that sausage and potato thing too, only I fry it on the stove, cuz I LOVE me some fried potatoes and onions. If I have it I will do it in bacon grease too (but I usually dont put bacon or cheese on mine), which brings up another level ! You can use brats, italian sausages, or polish/smoked sausages. Ive even done it with skin on hot dogs before. Wow! Good for you getting more meat than usual on your morning pantry haul. Sorry about not getting milk or eggs though. Its going to be a long week, for Glen, without his eggs for breakfast. lol
Next time I think I will fry it instead of baking it, sounds good that way also. Glen is not a big fan of eggs anyway but we still have some.
@@OneDayAtATime7 I was only teasing you about the eggs thing! ;0) It IS so good fried because the potatoes get crispy.

I had a cat years ago. That I could walk on a lease like a dog. it also would lay in the back like one of those dogs that has bobble head dogs.
We want to take him camping with us when we go.

We’ve had 7 kittens show up all so cute but we have several feral’s all the time they did the catch fix and release one time😢.The shelters are full here

my pet have alway been inside buddies I love new fur baby bt at 78 and hubby 80 don't feel like it fair to the animal all though if one little kitty or puppy we save it life and give it a home. Cute little kitty and his name sure fits him too.

He most likely has a microchip if he is that sociable. Hopefully the vet can scan him and find his owners. He looks like he just escaped his home and was well taken care of. At least he has a loving place for now!

For your own peace of mind please get him scanned for a chip or you can call animal control to do it. Like others have said his clipped ear is probably from TNR but he could’ve been deemed adoptable. It would be heartbreaking for you guys if he indeed someone else’s, but also sad if someone is missing their pet.
