- In this part of the new workshop renovation, we instelled the office ceiling with integrated spotlights. It took us a total of one and a half weeks to finish, but it was absolutely worth it.

Yup, that's a missing triangle
The bigger question is how do you "invisibly" fix it to the ceiling though?
They could cut out the triangle the right size and mount it to a plaque with a little brass tag explaining what it is and put it up on the wall underneath as an inside joke and a reminder to embrace imperfection.
Probably more invisible then looking at a missing triangle.
Hang a triangular infinity mirror. Make the gap appear endless instead of hiding it.
I’d say you only want panels where there will be lights, and to put a light in that triangle it would have to be misaligned with the other lights, so I say there is no missing triangle.
Yes triangle missing (without a spotlight) and in the other room, it should have been two normal squares rather than one big rectangle. But all looks really really good!!!
You can always use a string if you don't have a laser, but the laser makes it a lot faster and easier. Looking great, keep the videos coming.
Little idea, a thin sheet of foam on top would probably help with the acoustic. It would probably work like a "reflection trap"
+1 for the Wago clamps! 🙂
you really don't want to install ceiling lights without Wago clamps!
I can't believe people still use wire nuts when wagos are available. They're so much better in every way
@@coolbugfacts1234 or even worse screw terminals. Very common in Europe. You have not enough hands to mount a light fixture to the ceiling, while keeping the wires connected to it.
That ceiling looks awesome indeed... but good luck cleaning it...
(and yes, there's a missing triangle)
Raw OSB?
Having those loose floating panels looks like a dust nightmare with amount of dust that will start accumulating up there. It looks nice though.
Didn't even cross my mind there could be a missing triangle until you pointed it out and now I can't unsee it :D
Because I'm an agent of chaos, I say put a circle in that corner.
Looks great
Very neat!
You can cover the wood panels with sound isolation materials. It can look %100 petter and also has a function.
Yes, add the triangle!
Eine der besten RUclips Serien!!
I like the workshop wars. Between MH Anything and shop nation. I'm having a blast.
Yep. Triangle missing!
I love this look!
Of course there is a triangle missing.
The ceiling looks really nice.
Yes there is a missing triangle!
Next, instead of polystyrene I would use PIR (Polystyrene) sheets. Less annoying dust and especially, less fragile.
Btw, in the Netherlands it is not allowed to have the Wago's to the spots uncovered above the ceiling. And because of Deutsche Gründlichkeit I would assume the same there. For that you would use a mini-box like the Spelsberg Q4-L.
If you dont mount that missing triangle I will visit you and do it myself. Monk Ende
american watching at Wago klemme is like watching 20 years in the future :D
The lights look like a pain to install but the end product is AMAZING!
The lights were simple, just the panels were painful
Had a good laugh about your center-championship.
Yes indeed, triangle is needed.
Seeing that wi-fi soulution... I think i hear Linus scream.
It looks great now, I hope those panels don't start to sag at the corners.
Aaand cleaning on top of those in a worshop adjacent place wont be fun :D
Well, it's an office. Nobody will ever think about cleaning up there
Looks awesome!
that looks totally awesome!
I know the point is moot now, but clear shellac on the chipboard would really make it stand out
I had a lady friend who build a storage cabinet, and the doors were chipboard and she did this and
it really made it pop.
I've been looking at laser levels and that one looks awesome, plus it's not outrageously expensive like a lot of the ones that aren't simple cross lines.
amazing work
Nice progress!
Nice ceiling! Definitely missing a small triangle, though.
Yes! The triangle is missing!! But... if you make one, it will be much smaller than we realise. It might STILL look funny!
You don't need the triangle. The laser is an excellent addition.
I have ASD, so my answer about the missing triangle is somewhere between yes and "Could that awkward space have been avoided by using a different module and/or spacing?" Aestethically, I think you need to put something in that hole, unless you can all benefit from having a focal point in the ceiling.
Nice work! But definitely missing a triangle. My ocd is kicking in big time 😂
There is definitely a triangle missing.
I'd be seeing if there's something you can mount on those panels to reduce sound reflections. Would improve the feel of the room greatly.
I see you went with the Ubiquiti WiFi access points. Good choice :)
Oh, and I like the ceiling. Very modern.
👍︎ für den Algorithmus
2:46 I really hope these are full-metal dowels because normal ones would be a violation of fire safety regulations, especially when used to suspend flammable material like OSB.
It looks great. Had you not mentioned the blank space we would not have noticed a missing panel.
Yes indeed - Missing triangle :)
Yeah, I put the triangle in there. It's part of the pattern.
Did the ceiling have an affect on the reverb or overall sound in the rooms?
Definitely, it's a lot better with the ceiling
And yes, a triangle wouldn't hurt.
Y E S
are the panels going to stay bare wood? i would def. paint them
I agree - never liked the look of plain OSB...
⭐🙂👍
This is not a missing triangle. This is an opportunity for another video 😂
Yes triangle missing ☹️
ja, natürlich fehlt da ein Dreieck 👆
triangle missing for shure
What’s the name of that orange wire stripper you have at 7:40? Never seen one of those before and it looks awesome.
Ho YES there is panel missing….. 😵💫. (Lol hahahahah)
I think you're gonna regret not splitting the lights to two switches but it looks great
You need to mount a triangle, but in the wrong orientation so it's obviously out of place, for the OCD folks :)
Yes, you need a triangle 😂
Not sure if the triangle is missing when you measure, but visually it is missing
Good job, love the panels, I think WAGOs are supposed to be in an enclosure though (at least in the UK), rather than just on the board?
Yea, think you might need that triangle.
I also think those boards should be white... but still looks really sick!
I would recommend not leaving the AP sitting like that, it does work though
Yes, there is a triangle missing.
I like your small wire stripping tool, Who makes it & did you all like it?
That one is from Knipex
who needs a power outlet for an access point :):)
POE injector
Triangle missing.
Inner monk yells triangle missing!
The only thing that wouldn’t need an outlet is that WiFi hotspot 😉
True, it's the POE injector that needs the power
@@MHAnything Put the POE injector at the other end of the cable.
My honest opinion: No additional triangle needed.
Time and effort might be used for more important or funny or interesting things...
I am enjoying your workshop build, but don't care for the OSB panels. I would have used large LED panels for a more diffuse lighting, but it's your office and your design features. I couldn't care less about the corner pieces, as I doubt anyone who visits will notice. I'm looking forward to future build videos!
+1 for missing triangle
Triangle missing!
Won't dusting those panels be quite annoying?
Yes, triangle missing, but if you put it there it will look bad. So better solve an other problem instead ;-)
Why wouldn't you layout the center hole and support screw locations on the ground and drill them all at the same time? Also, don't measure from each side, draw diagonal lines on the back, to be more accurate and faster.
What is that 3D print 2:41
That's a very effective dust extraction thingy
I think there's two missing triangles.
Yeah triangle is missing
"NO". the corner triangle seems missing at first glance, However, the spacing calls for that to be empty. The general flow and feel of the ceiling is very good, and there is no missing bits when looking at the Whole picture... We are looking forward to your future projects
yes it missing!
No, there is no triangle missing. There was no triangle to begin with.
How did three grown up makers agree on visual OSB? 😅
Try not to operate a miter saw by crossing your arm across the blade like at 1:30. It can be dangerous.
.. dont't be a square, add the triangle:P
Such nerds you guys! Kkkk😂
its missing!
0:50 Dangerous Hand-Position !!
how dare you ask that question... OF CAUSE A PANEL IS MISSING... #monk
Wifi should use ethernet and PoE, not mains!
That's what it does
Desch isch aber dunkel für so viele Lichter
Das macht die Kamera. Ziemlich hell in Wirklichkeit
Isn’t it, that OSB can expose formaldehyde without a proper finish?
Those are Formaldehyde free OSB panels.
not a Fan of dark Roofs, swallows so much Light especialy for Workplaces .. earthy light Colors on the Wall to warm a place .. so tiring for the eyes .. trust me i'm a Schlossert (Metalworker) .. my Hall was almost black once a Year
No triangle vote 📐
Sorry Marius, but aesthetic design of bare OSB as decor is terrible. It's a cheap material and no one wants to "appreciate" the look of bare OSB. You obviously went through a lot of trouble to make your new office look great, but bare OSB highlights are a bad design choice.
Good that we have a different taste and like it
I think it looks great! But definitely need to add the triangle!
That’s your opinion. I like how it looks, and they obviously do too.
When you build your own office from scratch you can do whatever you like.
Trying to tell someone their personal tastes are objectively bad just makes you seem like an entitled asshole. Not to mention how condescending your comment is… just keep that stuff to yourself in the future.
@@DanteYewToob I wanted to like this 100 times
Gonna have to disagree with you, I like the look of OSB and also used it in the past
The effect leaves a gap so yes.
47 years experienced slightly obsessive person here... Missing triangle, missing triangle, missing triangle 📐
you need triangle
